About Heathlands Primary Academy

Heathlands is a one form entry primary academy located in West Howe close to the Children's Centre, West Howe Library, Henry Brown Youth Centre, Fernheath Play and the local shops. We have around 200 pupils from Reception age 4 through to year 6 age 11. We are also fortunate to have our wonderful preschool for 3 and 4 year olds on site as part of our Early Years base.

"Excellent school, excellent staff!"

I've been so impressed with the care and attention my child has received at Heathlands. The staff are always approachable and enthusiastic, and the facilities are modern and well-maintained. My child's progress has been remarkable, and we're so grateful to be part of the Heathlands community.

"Some positives, some negatives"

We've had a mixed experience at Heathlands. On the one hand, the school's facilities are excellent, and the teachers are generally supportive. However, we've found the communication from the school to be a bit patchy at times, and my child has had some trouble adapting to the workload. Overall, it's been an average experience.

"A wonderful school experience"

We've been at Heathlands for a few years now, and it's been an absolute pleasure. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the school's values of kindness and respect are truly evident in everything they do. My child loves attending and is thriving academically and socially.
