"Terrible school"

This is the worst school I have been to in my life, yes where I live there is Avonbourne and Glenmore but the school I currently attend is sick. It is evil and has a terrible school system and treats students abusiveley, teachers smoke in the car park and they also never alow students to have their own rights for either going to the loo or the way they present themselves in school. For the sake of your children's health, never send them to this hell on earth. They are trying to emulate the same archaic values of Winton & Glenmoor to impress ofsted, thus approach is out of date and damaging to the well being of young people

"A Great Place to Grow"

I have two children who attended The Bourne Academy, and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience for both of them. The teachers are supportive, the facilities are excellent, and the values of the academy really helped them develop into confident and compassionate individuals.

"Room for Improvement"

We're still in the early stages of our journey at The Bourne Academy, but we've had some mixed experiences so far. The staff seem nice, and the facilities are good, but we've found the communication to be a bit hit-and-miss. We're hoping that as our child settles in more, things will improve.

"Exceptional Education and Facilities"

We've been incredibly impressed with The Bourne Academy. The £10 million investment has really paid off, and the facilities are top-notch. The values of the academy, particularly the emphasis on being emotionally literate, really resonate with us.

"teachers don’t care about the kids😂😂"

while i attended this school my mum passed away, i went to school a few days later, keep in mind the head teacher was aware of what had happened ,just to get whinged at by him for no reason. i never once spoke to the school counsellor ,however many girls at the school went to her everyday despite the fact they had minor problems compared to mine. im not saying they didn’t need the ‘school counsellor’ but it’s weird that i always had very few teachers to go to when i had problems. they don’t care about bullying but to be fair it benefited me because it made me realise that a majority of people in this world are stuck up their @rses. i never misbehaved and i always got the best grades possible ,but that school failed me and they know they’re bad for behaviour & bullying so they try to copy all the better schools😅some of the teachers are actually decent, but they don’t know how to control anyone’s behaviour & most of my lessons were just kids playing up & most of the time getting away with it. if ur kids got thick skin & wants to be in an environment where no one actually cares about what you’re doing or each other, then send them here x

"Just poor"

The school is actually alright academically but it is a full on hotspot for bullying. I was bullied right from year 7 and nothing was sorted, I was left to deal with it and sort it out on my own. I’d often pretend I was ill or ask my mum to skips days to avoid the behaviour of my peers or it would result in me turning up late in non uniform because of how badly it had effected me. I know that there are plenty of other situations with the same reason, the level of help you get is terrible and a lot of teachers tend to take the mick. If you have a choice don’t send your child here, it will ruin their mental health just as much as it did mine.

"Awful!"

This school is awful. Hotspot for bullying regardless of their anti-bullying policy. Will never ever help you with any mental health. The second that anyone comes into view the school the pupils are told exactly what to say and do especially if being interviewed by people. Most Teaching staff are awful and rude. This school only makes children’s mental health worse. During the pandemic children are still crossing year group bubbles and interacting with multiple other pupils in completely different year groups. Masks are not mandatory like they should be and next to none of the students wear a mask during lessons. The school have little sympathy for anyone experiencing any type of difficulty and will never ever help you with anything no matter how many times they say they will. If you value your child’s mental health DO NOT send them here!

"Dont recommend "

My daughter was bullied for years and nothing was done about it, she now suffers with extremely poor mental health and anxiety because of the school's ridiculous rules and expectations that you simply cannot expect children to comply with. There is not enough support for these children, they are sanctioned over silly things and the school wonders why the kids don't want to be there.

"Poor school "

This school takes the mick when you say that you have problems and they take for ever to help you it took 5 years for me to get help and now I am in year 11 they said that I will get help in my mock and exams but it has taken 5years for the help I need and the pandemic that is going on we are meant to not cross bubbles but most of the year 11 go and speak to the year 10 over in there bubble and then year 7,8,9,10 when they get told to go a different way from the way that we go they don’t listen and they hang around in our bubble and they don’t get told off but other people get told of when they are in other peoples bubbles and we are meant to wear face mask and nobody actually wears them the school need to make it apparent that they have to wear them and if they don’t wear them they could get detentions for not wearing them . Please sort it out

"Bad school. "

Never help with any issues or make you wait weeks for help. Never reply to calls or emails. Haven’t followed rules regarding pandemic. Supposed to be anti bullying school but the whole school is full of bullies and children being bullied.
