"horror school"

absolutely terrible this school is by far the worst in bournemouth my kids hated this school as all they care about your skirt length which js pathetic! my child currently attends this school as we are trying to take her out but there isnt an available school. and she has received a full day of isolation for being on a scooter out of school? also there are some teachers to watch out for; ms parker, mr mills, mr lima, miss ford, ms burns, and basically every teacher that is pastoral as they dont do anything and apparently they are all about mental
health but thats not true at all.

"It is terrible !"

It sucks . We go get dozens of detentions for petty things like not having an extra pen or completing 99% of the homework do not go here ever . If ur off schoole for more than 1 day they come to your house and try and drive u to the schoole . I have been here a year and it’s already ruining my life . I have loved schoole my entire life and always had 100% attendance but at this schoole I hate it and have about 75% (they believe we should have atleast 97%

"Great school highly recommend to anyone"

I have recently just left GW and I must say everyone has different experiences of their time at secondary, but mine was fantastic. I made friends that would last a life time and the school made me very happy to be there. I joined GW as a shy, small and timid Year 7 and I left as a Year 11 with amazing grades, multiple friends and aquentnces, a boyfriend that I had no idea I would be with and a load of happy memories. The small year 7 me would of been absolutely terrified of life on the other side of Secondary. Some of the staff at GW were like school parents to me they helped me flourish into the person that I'm today and it would not of been possible without any of them. However, some negatives of this school would have to be the way that bullying isn't handled as quickly and as well as that say it is, as well as the inside conditions of this school are meh: pigeons landing in the concourse almost weekly, not being aloud to stand inside the concourse when its poring down and when its the middle of the winter. The safety and security of the place is good to be honest literally cant leave the god damn place without a parent in reception to come and pick you up or clearance from HoY to leave. But saying all of that I would go back in a heart beat to see some of the teachers who made me who I'm so thanks GW.

"Best school decision we ever made"

I have no hesitation in recommending Glenmoor Academy. My son's confidence and academic abilities flourished during his time there, and the staff were always supportive and approachable. He's now at uni and still raves about the school and his teachers.

"Bullying"

Yes, the grades are high so if you want to have a good job then sure, come here. But I have been physically and mentally abused by students here and reported it. The staff actually don't care about that and they say they don't condone bullying but do nothing to stop it

Also why should girls have to cover up on mufty days! Its our way of expressing ourselves

"Careless staff"

Teachers extremely rude, copious amounts of work, they don’t care if students are ill, not even now when corona is a high risk illness.

"Excellent school community"

We've felt welcomed and included from the moment our son started at Glenmoor Academy. The teachers are all very approachable and the school's focus on community service and helping others is fantastic. We're really happy with our decision to send him there.

"Great school, some issues with communication"

Overall, we've been pleased with Glenmoor Academy, but occasionally find that the communication with teachers and the school can be a bit patchy. That being said, our son loves the school and the football academy is amazing - he's made some great friends through it.
