Wellgate Primary School is a 3-11 primary and nursery school with approximately 450 pupils, serving a fantastic community in Mapplewell. We celebrate our 'one life' and explicitly teach how to live it well! Our exceptional staff team has designed a knowledge-rich curriculum that is tailored to meet the needs of our Wellgate Primary School community.

"Outstanding School Experience"

We've been blown away by the exceptional care and education provided by the staff at Wellgate Primary. Our child has grown in confidence and flourished academically, thanks to the school's emphasis on emotional and social development. The school's 'One Life' values really resonate with our family, and we feel supported every step of the way. Highly recommend!

"A School that Truly Cares"

From the moment we walked through the doors, we knew that Wellgate Primary was a special place. The staff are dedicated, passionate, and genuinely care about the wellbeing of each child. Our child has thrived in this supportive environment, and we're so grateful for the 'one life' values that are woven into every aspect of the school. We feel incredibly lucky to have found this hidden gem!

"Excellent School, but Room for Improvement"

We had a great experience at Wellgate Primary when our child was a student. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the curriculum is engaging and challenging. However, we did find that the school's SEND provision could be improved, and we experienced some difficulties communicating with the SENCO. That being said, we have many fond memories of our time at the school, and we're grateful for the education our child received.
