Samuel Laycock School caters for pupils from the ages of 11 to 16 with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). At the heart of our school’s mission, “Learning together, learning for all, learning for life,” is the belief that all our pupils, whatever their background or ability, will be successful and valued.

"A School That Truly Cares"

As a parent of a child with special educational needs, it's been a relief to find a school that truly understands and supports them. The teachers at Samuel Laycock are dedicated and passionate about their work, and my daughter loves her daily living skills program.

"Fantastic School for My Son!"

I'm so grateful to have found Samuel Laycock School. The staff are caring, supportive and truly believe in every child's potential. My son has thrived in the small class sizes and the hydrotherapy pool has been a game-changer for his physical development.

"A Good Start, But Room for Improvement"

We had a positive experience at Samuel Laycock when our son was in Year 7, but unfortunately, didn't quite meet our expectations when we moved him to a new class in Year 8. The facilities are excellent and the staff are friendly, but I feel that some aspects of the communication could be improved.
