Our Lady of Mount Carmel RC Primary School, Ashton-under-Lyne

Sent my son to this school and he didn't last 6 months, constantly bullied to the point he was wanting to end his life, constant calls not returned, emails not replied to, never got time for a meeting, when they do get back to you it is only because you have chased them up a million times, one of the worse schools out there, my boy has now been taken out of their school and I would never send him back

Absolutely disgusting behaviour, bullying the teachers do nothing at all. Do not recommend this school at all please don't come here.

Very bad school. Teachers cannot even handle a class of children correctly which is embarrassing. Bullying does not get handled well at all leaving the victims feel unsafe and scared. Teachers lack respect of students and don't help if you're struggling. Would not recommend unless you want your child's mental health ruined and their education destroyed.

I used to go to this school for a year and that year was the worst year of my life, I got bullied a lot and when I told the teachers they tried to fix everything by making us write on a sheet of paper what happened and then told us to not go near them which just made things worse. I will say though 3-4 teachers there are really kind and helpful but this 1 teacher I remember (no name) used to be the most racist teacher ever she would scream at me and my friend for the smallest things and always shout at us for nothing while all the other kids would be screaming and shouting she would only treat me and my friends like shit just cause we were Muslim there. I would be honest if u aren’t Christian and white skinned DO NOT go there Because the 5 things u would get 1)Racist behaviour 2) wont learn anything 3) ruined mental health 4) depression 5) ignored so if u wont want that don’t go there thanks for listening to my story in this high school. Just to let you know I went through all of this last year in year 7-8.

Please do not send your children. For their sake, the teachers do not care about anyone but themselves. I’ve seen a girl start seizuring here and the teacher just looked at the poor lass and left her

I'm so happy with Our Lady of Mount Carmel's nursery program - the teachers are kind and engaging, and my child loves going to school every day. The nursery has a great outdoor play area, and the children have access to a wide range of toys and activities. I've always found the staff to be helpful and responsive.

This school is absolutely terrible I recommend no one coming here because it is like a prison and the dinner taste of shit and teachers cant handle bullying and most of them are racist treating the catholics better than the muslims and giving them a hard time.the education here is terrible because students walk out of classes and teachers cant control the students and they just walk around doing laps and interupting classes meaning no body can learn and giving the students a bad future one day i hope this school will shut down.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel is an excellent school with a strong sense of community and a focus on Catholic values. The teachers are supportive and enthusiastic, and my child has made great progress in their reading and maths skills. I'm particularly impressed with the Book Start program and the weekly chess club.

We were initially impressed with Our Lady of Mount Carmel when my child started in Year 1, but over time we felt that the school's focus on Catholic values sometimes overshadowed other important aspects of education. The facilities are generally good, but the school could do more to engage with parents and keep them informed about what's happening in the classroom.

i started at the begining of year 9 but we went into lockdown i got bullied there alot and i told teacher and they don't do anything just make it worse and the school dinners taste like shit

Don’t choose this school I was bullied for 4 1/2 years until it stopped you get supplies at least once everyday and the school dinners are rubbish they serve the portions like it’s for a year 4 pupil

Terrible at sorting out bullying,I was bullied for 4 years before anything was done,and my next door neighbour had the police called on him by the school due to an issue that began with bullying the school knew about and didn't sort. they also mess classes around with different teachers and rooms.
