Bishop Vaughan is TERRIBLE!!

Teachers do not pay enough attention to students struggling with their mental health. I went to the “support” teachers MANY times when I was there and they were not helpful AT ALL. They would send me out of the office CRYING and yell at me, telling me to go to class when I was in no state to do so.
The school claims that students mental health is important and they will be supportive but they are FAR from it.

The teachers are very insensitive towards those who cannot speak up in class and they make sure to make students feel uncomfortable about it.

The staff in detention are very rude. They don’t allow you to explain yourself, instead you are forced to sit in isolation in silence.

Bishop Vaughan was a MASSIVE contribution to my bad mental health.
They overstep until you suffocate.

If I could give this school 0 stars I would horrible school they don’t do anything about bullying but claim they do teacher ditched this school don’t blame them but no one really got a grade on this subject because they hadn’t been taught it for months way to strict and some teachers favourite students and honestly it’s awful so glad I never have to go again don’t send ur kid here if you love them

Absolutely awful. If you love your child, respect your child and want the best for them, don’t send them to this gulag. Please. I’m begging you.

Perverted, sick behaviour from teachers, probably because of the skimpy, scruffy uniform and heavy makeup that’s somehow allowed. Female pupils will have skirts the size of a belt and male pupils are happy to strip in the classroom. There were multiple occasions where teachers exploited pupils to concerning material.

Racism spread throughout the school. This is not a school for children who are not white. Hate is abundant here, and nothing is done about it.

Sometimes teachers don’t show up. My welsh teacher didn’t show up for two terms, so we all failed the qualification, whilst other classes did well. This is still going on, but nowdays I just leave if they take longer than 15 minutes.

Disgusting behaviour from pupils. Bullying, gang fights and vapes on the floors. Vaping is popular amongst years 7–10. Pupils will dismantle vapes and leave the batteries on the floor. Pupils will also ‘scrap’ in groups of 20+ and follow pupils home to beat them.

Horrid teachers who couldn’t care less about education and protecting pupils. Paid for nothing. Teachers destroy the child’s mental health in various ways. These teachers love to bring the worst out into pupils by harassing them and being condescending. Yet in assemblies, they tell pupils they are ‘family’.

Untidy halls, which smell like pee. Cleaners try their best, god bless them, but the next day things are worse than before because these pupils are disrespectful and reckless. Pupils hang on the roofs, and lift up the carpets. Pupils stick gum on everything and write slurs on tables. Some of the roofing is falling down. I have witnessed multiple table flippings and chair throwings too. It doesn’t matter if staff are present, these pupils have a passion for chaos.

Dead rats were found on the grass by the parking lot. Rats occasionally run on the yard too. Pupils drop food and all kinds of litter on the ground, causing seagulls to spray poop everywhere. No respect for the school premises at all. Pupils tip over bins and air inside of them. Pupils play football with bins.

There’s a unit specifically for pupils with severe behaviour issues. They are like ticking time bombs, unable to leave the small building, causing them to retaliate and cause hell for other pupils. A lot of them are bright, but their abilities are dumbed down in there. They are like caged rats, unable to explore their true potential and self worth. They’re just given tea and told to be silent.

Food is a nightmare. Resident evil meals. Overpriced and greasy. Very unhealthy. All microwave food. No fridges. All the water and pop is left in the sun. The water tastes chunky and warm. Like jelly piss.

School is not safe and pupils walk out whenever. The school is also next to a funeral home, so parking is hard and horses leave mud and blobs of poop on the pavement.

It’s a war zone. Vietnam, even. Please don’t send your children here. They are not proper Catholics. They do not uphold the virtues of the church. It’s a dumping ground for kids who couldn’t hack it into Olfcha.

Bishop Vaughan is a good school nice teachers and lovely pupils

I have been at this school for around 2 years now and its just awful. Why are we getting detention for not bringing a pen or a blazer? Thats like saying a teacher should go to jail for having their hair up. A big problem here is food. Dinners are in such small portions; portions that arent enough for a bunch of growing teenagers! Its sad to see the amount of teachers with no passion (the majority). It's really hard to enjoy learning or even just learn something with a boring teacher. My next point is that the "Nurture" room is being abused. Teachers dont even give work to struggling students because they arent in the room? I thought you cared for our mental health. And many students go into nurture for the rest of the year so they dont need class. Uniform rules are getting more stupid by the day. My friend read the uniform rule in the planners TEACHERS have gave us. She wore leg warmers (an outer garment which is plain black, no logo) and she got a behaviour point for it? The weather was cold and she wore a skirt cause her trousers are in the wash. This is honestly unbelievable. Im so close to going homeschooled.
