About Redby Academy

Redby Academy is a mainstream primary school offering provision to children from 3 – 11 years. Our geographical location, based on the Roker coastline, next to Roker Park and a stone’s throw from Sunderland Town Centre, serves us well; providing rich, learning environments beyond the classroom. Every child is recognised as being unique and our strong nurturing ethos, supports all children in their development of self–confidence, individuality, independence and resilience.

"Some great aspects, but areas for improvement"

We've been pleased with the early years program at Redby Academy. However, we've noticed some inconsistency in the homework and communication with parents. We're hoping to see some improvements in these areas soon.

"Exceptional education and supportive staff"

We've been thrilled with Redby Academy's approach to education. The nurturing ethos has helped our child develop confidence and independence. The facilities, especially the outdoor spaces, are fantastic.

"Excellent facilities and caring staff"

Redby Academy's facilities are amazing, especially the outdoor spaces and sports equipment. The staff are caring and supportive, always willing to listen and help. Our child has thrived here.

"Excellent education and character building"

Redby Academy was an outstanding experience for our child. The staff were dedicated, and the values-based approach helped our child grow into a compassionate and responsible individual. We're grateful for the time our child spent there.
