"worst secondary in sunderland"
worst school my child has ever been to, miss edmundson the year 10 head of year , always singles students out and does not give the same punishment to every kid!!! very shameful school and the staff are very rude

"Terrible School"
Facilities are terrible, the school will do anything to improve its inadequate rating through social media and the echo, include bending the truth. Example, summer camp for year 7 transition became a handout to feed kids because times are tough.
Homework is constant, even over the school holidays and generally, communication is a mess too.
Consider your sanity before sending your kids here.

"Excellent all-round school!"
My child has settled in well at Monkwearmouth Academy. The staff are very supportive and the facilities are excellent. My child loves the ME Time activities and the football academy.

"Great school with high expectations"
Monkwearmouth Academy has exceeded my expectations. The teachers are passionate about teaching and the school's values of Believe, Achieve, and Succeed are evident in everything they do. My child is thriving and enjoying the enrichment programme.

"Some good and some not-so-good experiences"
I have mixed feelings about Monkwearmouth Academy. My child had a great time in their first year, but in the second year, they struggled with some of the teachers. The facilities are lovely, but the communication with parents could be improved.

"horrid"
Absolutely horrible, litter all over the yards, people smoking in hidden corners, students are horrible to each other and the teachers seem to favouritise the bullies and once informed about the bullying they do not do anything about it. riddled with horrible scratters.
