"Stanground Academy"

I am a year 7 at stanground and as i was starting in this school i was sad as i didnt have anyone from my primary school coming there with me, but i have found loads of new friends and everyone is very nice.I also thought that this school is going to be bad as the other reviews said so but turns out it really isnt, if you or your child is starting in stanground dont be worried about anything.

"Lack of care for students lives!"

I attended Stanground Academy, I am now 21 and I can firmly warn you DO NOT let your child attend this school!

I was bullied to the highest degree, I was kicked to the ground, beaten, punched and repeatedly insulted EVERY DAY. If I told ANY teacher, they would go to the bullies and tell them to “play nice”. If I dared to shove or punch a bully in self defence then I would be screamed at and put in a room by myself with NO adult supervision.

When me and a bully were in the office I told the teachers in the office “due to the extreme bullying I experience at the school, I genuinely wish to hang myself with rope so I don’t have to deal with it” Do you want to know what their response was to a student saying they wish to COMMIT SUICIDE WAS?! They turned to the bully and said “See that’s why you don’t bully, now go back to break.” They had ZERO care if I killed myself!!!

To this day I am suicidal and am on some of the strongest medication you can get and a big part is due to this school! They do NOT care for their students and if you care for your children then keep them away from this DISGUSTING school.

"Bow down and Lick my shoes !!"

On Tuesday 26th September a group of older boys made my 11 year old son bow down and lick their shoes. My poor son is now terrified and scarred for life - he just started year 7 at Stanground Academy

Just because he is of a different colour and background

This tells you a lot about the nature and character of the majority who populate this school and it has ruined my sons academic life forever.

We are now deciding if we should involve the police and headteachers but reading these blogs it will be a waste of time and he will be targeted even more

"Good but Room for Improvement"

We have mixed feelings about Stanground Academy. On the one hand, the Uniform and Equipment are very well-organised and the school is very proud of its facilities. However, we feel that there is a lack of communication with parents about important events and that some teachers could be more supportive.

"An Exceptional Education with Extra Curricular Activities to Match"

We moved our daughter to Stanground Academy in Year 7 and she has thrived in the supportive and ambitious environment. The facilities are top-notch, and the staff are passionate about helping students achieve their potential. The Hairspray production was a highlight, and we are so proud of our daughter's progress.

"Excellent Values and Enthusiastic Teachers"

My son attended Stanground Academy from Year 7 to Year 11 and we were consistently impressed with the values the school promoted and the enthusiasm of the teachers. The Cross Country team was a highlight, and we appreciated the opportunities for students to develop social responsibility and progress through various programs.

"Head teacher bullying students "

Apparently the new head teacher is already bullying student’s, making students lay on the floor in assembly when they do something he does not like so the bullying culture continues, and it is not coming just from the students.Terrible!

"year 11"

as a year 11 student that lost mojority of time in year 10 the teachers offer no support and do the bare minimum for us, I.e I have a history exam today and yester we went to a computer room while my history teacher sat and chatted with someone offering no support of in classroom learning

" Hell hole ! "

My daughter was bullied viciously and mercilessly at this school she went from a happy confident year 6 student to a frightened anxious year 7 student in a matter of weeks .. she was bullied mentally and physically every day
From the moment she stepped onto that school .. the teachers and the head wasn't interested in sorting it out .. came to a head when we had stanground academy pupils on our doorstep trying to threaten and abuse our daughter .. stanground academy academy's response? .. keep a diary ...my daughter was hiding in the loos to eat her lunch cos she was that scared of the bully's... if you're thinking of sending your child to this hell hole ..think again!!! I promise you will regret it ...

"Stanground Academy 🤢"

This school isn’t verry good the food at the canteen is full of mould and the teachers are just so strict like you can’t even ask for help without getting put in to isolation l. This girl in my class got excluded because a teacher pushed her because I was in her lesson basically they didn’t believe her that this teacher pushed her so the whole class wrote statements and my friend was the one excluded. Then the following day she returned to school and she was just getting on with her work then this same teacher came in and said he wanted to talk to her so I went with her so he didn’t push her again. The school is honestly disgusting the school is falling apart I’m glad I left year 11
