"This school is a prison."

The students are treated like prisoners with restricted toiler useage. The only exemption is if you have a medical card? Well i’m sorry, but it should be illegal to make a CHILD hold their piss in for 2 Hour blocks to wait for break and lunch. When your kids come home with a UTI who’s to blame? The school. It’s blatant denial of their human rights to take away permissions to use the restroom in lesson. More time off = less time in school and who’ll be fined for this? Parents, when it’s the schools fault for restricing how often a CHILD. Has to use the restroom. Many workspaces offer free use of toilets so why are the students being treated like inmates? Let them pee when they need to.

I understand that SOME PEOPLE use the toilets to be delayed to their lessons, but punishing the whole school for certain students is ridiculous. Maybe have a chat with those who are consistently late due to toilet usage and check if it is an underlying medial concern or if they’re skipping and punish those for their mistakes, e.g no outside time for break or a detention after school for however long they where late to lesson for.
In conclusion, punshing a whole school for the minorities tardyness is ridiculous and neglectful to student health and wellbeing, they can’t concentrate if they need to piss can they.

"Oba is a shit tip"

This school is a living hell hole i still go there and when i come back next year i better see changes now here are some keys thing's i have issues with.

1.Food/Food saftey (mostly at lunch):Now the food in the school here is to put it bluntly is ass I would rather eat mouse droppings then the half of the uncooked chicken they have served me and or my freinds.

2.Bullying:This is the worst thing you think your stupid posters and rules help your school become better i came to this school in year 7 feeling alone now entering year 9 and being bullied by half my classmates that i forcefully have to work with evan if i clearly do not like them due to them picking on me infront of members of staff and teachers (tho this dosnt apply to everyone) its still not as worse as half of what i have seen in my school a list of slur can always come to mind when someone is being picked on
Eg: Faggot,Tranny,Trap,N-(The n word),Retarded,homo (and lots more).

3.Teaching to acomodate others: Now in our school we do not acomodate to others learning stages and how fast they are at that topic this school expects me to understand everything in one god damn single lesson no i dont know how to do half the stuff i lernt in maths due to poor teaching within my class during my time in year 8.

4.Homophobia/Racism: This school just like all the others is a dumbster fire when it comes to this ballshit i have a trans freind who was called a "Tranny" on their first day into our school i have a girl in my tutor who has notoriously said the n word more than once to others in our class and on social media platforms i swear to go this school is a actualy shit tip when it comes to anything like this.

Now for the only ok think within our school which is the education more as in the stuff we learn is actualy quite good but most of the time is ruined by other people in our school and their stupid behavior within our lessons eaither put those kids in a separate class or put them into unit im done with crying of this stupid fucking shit.

"Not good at all"

This school most of the time was a horrible experience for starters it is very! Disgusting with there being food on the windows and floors as well as extremely dirty bathrooms that never got properly cleaned, the food was also not great. There was also ALOT of fights that happend at that school yet nothing gets done about it.

But the worst was probably the treatment of students, from my experience alot of the teachers (including the "welfare" team) do not care about students feelings whatsoever and only care out punishments and getting their way, even if that includes making students feel extremely uncomfortable and sad (to say the least). But even though the teachers are adamant about "proper punishment" I have never see anything done about bullying and hateful actions and language, wether it's about race, identity or looks every horrible word you can think of has been said to students at this school and nothing was done

Overall even though some teachers have been nice (and this is not at all aimed at them) most of it was quite frankly horrible and the only this that the school has going for them is that the test scores are high (i have no idea how that is)

"Terrible behaviour."

I think some of the parents would be shocked at the way their children behaved and being unruly. It’s a shame as if you kicked out some of the bad kids, the rest of the classes would learn so much.

As a parent I would not send my children back to this school.

Get rid of kids who don’t want to learn.

"not the best school"

I don't really recommend this school at all, you can send your kid here I you don't have a choice, but if you do, don't send your kid here. here's why.

1. The food. The food they provide sometimes has hair in it and from time to time , it's even out of date.
2. They throw away the water bottles that were paid for by the student. Parents put money on their child's account expecting them to have food AND a drink. Not to mention, they come around throwing your water in the recycling bin, probably not a good idea, is it?
3. A lot of teachers aren't really going to help you move up a set or get better. They talk about how you should move up a set saying that you can do it and all that kind jazz, but they don't really help you. you do bad on your test? they won't even show you what you got wrong so you can work on it.
4. Toilets. Most years have enough time to go to the toilet during lunch and break but during lunch, for year eight I believe, they can't really go to the toilet. they go outside to hang out with their mates, they eat and then they go to form. and the worst thing is that they're told they can't go to the toilet at all!! I understand that you need to learn and stuff but do they really expect a child to hold it in for two hours?
5. they waste money. they cry about not having enough money but then they go wasting it on a stem room that no one uses, new computer even though the previous ones were great..

I give this school a 2/5 because it makes many events where students can socialize and express themselves.

"Bushfields flaws"

Although the level of education was fairly good for the majority, they didn't cater to the students who struggled with mental health for projects or those who had a different way of leaning which often resulted in a lack of compliance as they were unable to keep up with the class due to learning and social barriers. The teachers often ignored hateful and discriminatory language towards those who are lgbtq+ or not white British. The food was alright most of the time but I often found my food had hair in it or was under/overcooked. The cleaning is terrible, I once found am orange that was going mouldy from too high of a place for me to get in the cafeteria and when I told somebody, nothing was done about it. That stayed there for weeks until the next inspection came along.

"Not brilliant "

The school has good facilities for most of its lessons, even though this is the case, in general the school is poorly run, discipline is often unfair and all in all it's an unwelcoming environment.

"Sixth form :/"

As a sixth form student, I feel completely cut off and isolated from the whole institution. It sees to be that all my teachers refused to accept me from the beginning and despite feeling some sort of acceptance now, there are few that really know how to make me feel like I don’t belong. Although they paint an exceptional image of themselves, it really is just a painting. A snapshot of what they can use to advertise. There’s a range of favouritism within what’s meant to be a mature environment and yet mr who works dedicatedly in all of my lessons, study periods and even on my breaks, I get no recognition… and why? Because I haven’t been a ‘member’ since year 7. I wish I left here the day I started, as it was in my gut that the toxicity wasn’t right for me to experience.

"bad school"

horrible place and needs a bigger senco department which was decent just not enough people to deal with a massive academy, I started there in september 2018 but left in the start of 2019 due to their poor handling of bullying and honestly just horrible hygiene in the school most of the teachers were absolute garbage too

"I hate it "

I hate this place so much. The only reason I’ve given it two stars is because there are actually some decent teachers. I literally dread getting up because I have to go there. So many students are openly homophobic and all the other -phobics and -isms and NOTHING is done about it, no matter how much complain it. Wouldn’t recommend, wouldn’t recommend anywhere else either, at this point, just homeschool.

"Don’t even bother."

In my opinion, oba is actually terrible in terms of handling bullying, as from experience, the teachers here don’t even try to protect their students from any sort of bullying.

The food here is also given to students with hair in it or sometimes things will be undercooked or even out of date!

Lastly, I think the worst thing about this school is the equality. You’re transgender? You will be misgendered. Totally. And the students around you will also misgender you and say unkind things. This school is also extremely unkind to those who are part of the LGBTQ+ community and students call those who are in it many types of racial slurs.

Although some teachers are extremely thoughtful, wise and even helpful in terms of education, from my experiences, there are extremely creepy teachers who would eye female students who wear skirts and even try to flirt with them!!! It’s disgusting how the principle condones of this behavior from everyone in this school!

Don’t even bother thinking about bringing your kid here, unless if they are mentally strong to endure the experience.
