"Horrendous place!"

If I could I wouldn't rate even one star! This school should hang their heads in shame!
Petty reporting on class charts for small things like moving in seats, over dramatising staff, lies, severe punishments which are totally over the top and then wonder why students don't want to go to school and have bad mental health! Removed my child from this prison! If your thinking of sending your child here...dont!

"An over all review"

It’s not the best school. They care too much about things that don’t matter such as forgetting your PE socks and they care way less than they should about things that do matter like bullying. Im not lying when I say that everyone who comes here will experience bullying at some point. Everyone. The majority of the kids here are rude and rough. A lot of people get pulled out and homeschooled because of the bullying, rough students and bad teachers. The school wants you to have absolutely perfect attendance, which every school does, but this school goes over the top with it. if you don’t have perfect attendance you’ll have email after email about it. They want unwell children in school and all that does is spread bugs around. Here is an example: once someone in my class vomited at the start of the lesson and didn’t get taken out of class until the end of the lesson. I was sat in class watching someone stood by the classroom door retching for 55 minutes and occasionally leaving to vomit. The substitute teacher literally told the student to go and sit back down in his place after he came back from the toilet after vomiting. There were people sat either side of him and they weren’t allowed to move. All of this is because they don’t let you go to the medical room, the medical room worker has to come to you. There is only one worker for the medical room so it takes a long time. Let kids go to the medical room if they vomit, I don’t want to get the norovirus because of the school rules.

The school is unbelievably short staffed, more teachers leave than join. Sometimes it gets to the point where they have to merge classes together and send them to the lecture theatre or the main hall because there are not enough teachers.

The school is difficult to navigate. I’ve been here for years yet I still don’t know where some rooms are. Some rooms have absolutely no signs on the door and the rooms are arranged in weird ways. They did add some signage by the stairs in A block so you know what rooms are up the stairs, which was a very good addition.

There are some good things about the school. Apparently it has some of the best GCSE results in the area. They also have a good supply for lessons like technology. They have a very big field and they have quite a few computer rooms. Some of the school is quite run down, but that’s to be expected considering the school is 73 years old.

Over all, the school has good academic results, but it isn’t the best for your mental health. Do not go here if you have anxiety or mental health issues already

"Worst school in the entire country "

Got bullied for the entire time I was at the school and not just by other students but by members of staff as well. All the teachers care about is whether your uniform is correct and your shirt is tucked in. They don’t care about your mental health or care about you at all. The teachers are only in it for the money and not because they care. I had to give it a 1 star because that is the lowest but that school isn’t even a -3 stars because it is worse than that. Thanks to that school I ended up with a fractured bone in my hand, bruised pelvic bone and tissue and liniment damage in my finger due to bullying and the teachers still done absolutely nothing just stood back and watched. In the end they kicked me out instead of resolving the situation.

"DONT GO HERE!!!"

this school is so crap they pretend to care about students and their students mental health but they definitely don’t care at all and it shows. they do absolutely nothing if you’re getting bullied and they’re even worse at dealing with racism. someone i know even got detention for a week for calling out someone who has been especially racist, homophobic, transphobic, sexist and ableist. another huge issue is how badly they handle mental health issues. they have someone for you to talk to, but they don’t help at all and (from my experience) even make you feel bad for feeling the way you do. my experience there was absolutely terrible and my mental health became increasingly worse and worse to the point where i felt suicidal. absolutely horrible school, i would not recommend going there, especially if you’re a part of any minority group at all.
