"A Hidden Gem in London"

We were blown away by the level of care and support the teachers have shown our children. From the moment we stepped foot in Kew House, we knew it was the right choice for our family. The school's commitment to academic excellence and extracurricular activities has exceeded our expectations.

"This school care about the money more than the kids"

I went to Kew for five years. I applied as my Mother and I were lead to believe this school was perfect for SEN. I would say that if you have mild dyslexia and just take longer to learn things, Kew is a brilliant school for that. However the actual SEN support for more severe things was not helpful. I have severe dyslexia and AuDHD as well as anxiety. These were not cared for. My main issue with the school is the pastoral care. I was bullied severely in year 10 by a group of ten pupils in my year to the point were I home-schooled myself for weeks on end. The bullying entered tier 6 bullying (which under their bullying policy requires immediate expulsion). However, this was not handled correctly. Not only did my own mother have to call the parents of these bullies herself, but the school refused to expel them as its a business. If they expelled the bullies they would lose 10 lots of tuition fees, where as if I left it would be less detrimental to their business. I even had a meeting with the deputy head where I was given four options; 1. stay at the school and repeat year 10 to avoid the bullies. 2. leave and go to boarding schools hours away 3. be homeschooled 4. stay in my year at Kew with the bullies. I dropped two GCSES which I was predicted 9's in as I didnt feel supported while around them. My one thing which I will always love about Kew was the teachers. I felt all my teacher genuinely wanted me to succeed and cared about me. In year 10 I was failing most of my subjects, I went on to receive 8s and 9s barring one 6 in maths. I could not have done that without the care of my teachers and head of year. If Kew upped the pastoral care it would absolutely thrive. It's a shame that the lack of pastoral care seems to be a common theme among people that leave the school.

"Excellent Education in a Welcoming Environment"

My child has been at Kew House for three years now, and we've seen a significant improvement in their confidence and academic abilities. The teachers are approachable, and the school's emphasis on well-being and social skills has been a game-changer. We feel so lucky to be part of the Kew House community.

"A non-selective school that's not for everyone"

Are you ok with choosing GCSE subjects a year before every other school, by looking at a chart showing the 4 possible combinations you can opt for? And spending that extra year going through 5 different English teachers (in a term and a half) and not having much direction? Are you fine with having no school trips the entire year, supposedly because the school wants to save parents money, but then they jack up the fees annually? Do you like an environment where being white rules and minorities get the crumbs? Where diversity comes last? Are you ok with teachers and Personal Tutors never replying to your emails? And a community where students gain importance by belittling and isolating others? Then Kew House is the school for you.

"above average "

it wasnt the best school ive been to but its really great. The food can be really great or really bad sometimes. I cant eat spesific foods and on the days that there is that food the optional food isnt really great, its a unseasoned chiken that is sitiing in the water waiting under the lunch hall tables.but overall its really great, the outside is really green and the teachers are friendly. I heard a lot about bullying and i think there can be more work on solving bullying. And maybe someone just randomly talking to random kids around just to get to know whats really going on. but overall great school

"Im happy to have left, got me the grades I needed"

I went to KHS for 5 years and I only really have a few good things to say about it. The only year I enjoyed in the end was y11. I knew that I wanted to leave from the beginning of y11 but the school didn’t inform us of deadlines for applying for other places so I was extremely lucky to find a place at a different school late on.
I wanted to leave for a lot of different reasons, for one the mental health support was shocking. I was constantly made to feel an inconvenience for having anxiety attacks or anything related. In addition, the school created a "wellbeing council" which I happened to be a part of, but there was little to no action. This wellbeing facade was in an attempt to secure a "Wellbeing award" and I'm frankly ashamed to have been used in this ploy. We were given many empty promises, and I know it was the same in the school council. The Performing Arts departments where harsh and not very positive so it made students less confident in their abilities. However the payed for music lessons after school or at lunch times were very good and tried to rebuild my confidence and ultimately helped me leave. In addition the art department is well funded so helps the students experiment with different medias. The DT department that Kew prided themselves in was unorganised to say the least and one of my teachers taught my class the complete wrong curriculum ,over lockdown gave us close to no work and then suddenly disappeared, by the time I left Kew I had gone though 5 different dt teachers in the 3 years of my dt course . The teacher turnover rate in almost every department was actually insane now that I think of it. In conclusion, Kew is not worth the crazy amount of money ppl pay to go there, in the words of one of my teachers “kews admissions system is just do you have the money for school fees, tick yes tick no”. The result of this was a lot of privileged kids who think they can do whatever they please and be impolite and rude. I happy I left and Kew did help me the the grades I needed to go onto my next school.

"Morally inept and money driven"

I went to kew house for 5 years, only my last year was good. This was due to the support system I had found myself and the idea that I was going to leave soon. I personally found that there was a good teaching, and grew fond of some of the teachers but all of this was over shadowed by the complete lack of morality or caring. There were multiple cases of physically assaults done by students in my year and not one person was ever expelled - in fact many of them had already been expelled from their previous schools and appeared to moved here as an accomodating option. The largest punishment you will ever receive is a 1 day suspension - and this was for breaking a younger years hand.
A big thing they advertise is their mixed year tutors. I asked to move my tutor group 4 times due to the fact I was being picked on and didn't feel comfortable with the people in mine. I was refused every time without a reason.
For meals that have given a whole school food poising, they are far too expensive but this is not the first money grabbing venture you will see.
At Kew House you will get a good education but you're in an environment that only cares about your money and their image in order to get more money. As a student you are not cared for or put with people who are caring despite the facade they put on.

"My trauma from Kew"

AWFUL, i was here for 1 and a half years and i was bullied the entire time, the school did nothing to help me and didn’t suspend the kid who pushed me down the stairs. the council king needs a review, the children in my year were racist and homophobic, they have no manners and the teaching wasn’t great, my physics teacher played free science guy videos instead of teaching us, the PT system is ok but doesn’t give you the support you may need, i went for help to the deputy head but they did nothing but made the situation worse, my class was distruptive and my learning was affected, we were not allowed to do practicals because of some of the students, the food gave half the school food poisoning and the sausages had orange pieces in, my experience was awful and i don’t want anyone going through this. the learning support system was good but they singled you out in this room and u felt judged by other students. I still have nightmares from the bullying and it affected my mental health, i have sadly never been the same since this
