There is a serious lack of communication and accountability at this school. Parents are often left in the dark about issues affecting their children, and concerns are frequently dismissed rather than addressed. This creates an environment where problems are allowed to continue instead of being resolved. A school should work in partnership with families to support children’s welfare, but this school consistently falls short.

I am deeply concerned about the standard of care and attention to student welfare at this school. From my experience, the school does not adequately prioritize the emotional, social, or personal development of its students. Children’s safety and wellbeing appear to be overlooked, and there is little support for those who are struggling academically or personally. Teachers seem stretched and under-resourced, and there is a lack of clear policies to ensure that every child feels safe, supported, and valued. I would caution parents to carefully consider whether this school can provide the nurturing and attentive environment their children need.

"Doesn't take safeguarding seriously"

The Headteacher has continued over the last 3 years to not take safeguarding regulations seriously.

My daughter was punched and kicked in the chest and sent to first aid to receive treatment. No parents were informed for multiple days, I wasn't informed my child got Hurt at school & have never received any slips regarding repeated incidents or receiving asthma pumps which need to be given to young children in times doses.

He continously avoids meetings, having cancelled an important meeting after me travelling 2 hours to school to then be told at the gate it will now be next week.

"I'm concerned about the school's approach to discipline"

I'm concerned about the school's approach to discipline. My child has mentioned instances of bullying that weren't addressed promptly. I hope the school takes this feedback seriously and works on improving their response to such issues.

"Decent education with some issues"

While the school offers a safe environment, I feel that the communication with parents could be improved. Sometimes, we don't receive timely updates about school events or our child's activities.

"I'm really happy with Marvels Lane Primary School"

I'm really happy with Marvels Lane Primary School. The teachers are dedicated and always keep us updated on our child's progress. The only downside is the limited outdoor play area, which could be expanded for the kids.
