Coppetts Wood Primary School

Our son had almost nil Chinese language or culture exposure before attending the preschool. He started with the bilingual preschool in September 2021 on a part time basis. The preschool teachers have been very patient and friendly, taking all their best efforts to make my son feel welcomed and settled. He is very keen to go to preschool, counting the days for when his nursery days starts. He comes home nowadays and talks to me about all the teachers names and that he likes them all. I also noticed he started singing Chinese nursery rhymes just a few weeks after he joined the preschool.

My son has an older sibling who missed the preschool as the preschool was new only since 2020. I could see my son is more adaptive in speaking Chinese. However, I feel my other child also benefited from the awareness of the Chinese culture events the preschool does.

The preschool also worked tirelessly to engage with parents, either via general class Dojo update, private message update, parents stay and play sessions, or parents evenings. The communication has always been very transparent and timely.

I'm very happy with the preschool, knowing my son would learn some Chinese language in a very cared environment and well fed with warm fresh authentic Chinese & fusion food.

Our child Louis has been here for about 2 months now, it is a relative new nursery, modern with good decor and parking for drop offs. Louis had the best time so far! Starting from the learning aspects, the nursery teaches a variety of English and Chinese topics, cultures, numeracy and nursery rhymes. They are very proactive in engaging with children using gestures, linguistics and messy plays both indoors and outdoors. They also often visit libaries puppet events which is very entertaining for the kids! Every night, we would also get a book to read with our child alongside a book record; such a great start to engaging reading at a young age. This is evident as my son's vocabulary has incressed ten folds with his chinese and english words. There is also frequently a report from the nursery with kids attaintment to see what skillsets they have achived for a specific period which is great to know the progress and improvements theyre going through with the curriculum they teach. On a daily basis, we also get updates via the Class dojo app; which shows how much extra effort the staff put in with the kids throughout the entire day. Overall, the staff are amazing, very patient, gentle, motivating the kids all the time. Food is great too, the kids gets a variety of yummy asian and western cuisine daily, learning how to use teasets, chopsticks and dumplings making. We also had the pleasure of attending their recent chinese new year event embracing the Chinese culture through traditional and lion dance, chinese language and music, which was fantastic! On my sons birthday, the staff made special games, and activities for the whole class to enjoy. The nursery is perfect! It is as best as it gets compared to the 2 other nursery we have been to previously. The standards, quality of care and teaching is second to none! Kudos and much appreciated to Ms Bobo, Angela, Jing, Zarah, Peipei and their fantastic cook. I'd highly recommend the nursery to any parents who would like their child to be constantly learning, playing/learning in a safe fun environment having the best experience of their childhood. We would like to thank the nursery for all you've done so far! and express our appreciation.

My grandson is in Petts Wood Mandarin_English Preschool. He is very happy and has learned so many things. He is keen to go to school every day.
