About University of Liverpool Mathematics School
We are one of the friendliest, smallest and highest performing schools in the country - an unusual school in many different ways, and one which is a joy to work and to study in. We are particularly keen to meet the needs of students who have faced disadvantage and our teachers spend a considerable amount of their time working in schools in some of the most deprived parts of the region in order to support talented students and their teachers.

The University of Liverpool Maths School has exceeded my expectations. The teachers are passionate and supportive, and the environment is inclusive and caring. My child has thrived in the maths department, and the outreach programme has helped them develop their skills beyond the classroom.

"Mixed experience, but some concerns"
While my child has enjoyed the maths department at the University of Liverpool Maths School, I have some concerns about the pressure to perform. The school's emphasis on high grades can be overwhelming, and I worry about the impact on students' mental health. However, the teachers are generally supportive, and the Garnett Scholars Programme has been a valuable resource.

"An exceptional education for my son"
As a former parent of a student who attended the University of Liverpool Maths School, I can confidently say that the education provided was exceptional. The school's focus on maths and science, combined with the pastoral support, helped my son to achieve his full potential. He now excels in his STEM degree at university.
