Fairoak Primary School

Fairoak Primary School is a new English-medium primary school located at 1 Whitchurch Road in Heath, Cardiff, officially opening in September 2025. The school was established to serve communities in Heath, Gabalfa, Llandaff North, Plasnewydd, and Cathays, bringing together pupils, staff, and communities from the former Allensbank and Gladstone Primary Schools. The school's name was chosen through consultation with pupils, parents, staff, and governors, inspired by a historic 600-year-old oak tree in the area. Fairoak Primary School offers 420 primary places and a nursery, with a focus on modern facilities and community integration. The school aims to provide a wealth of opportunities for children and families, emphasizing transition activities and community engagement as part of its founding ethos.
