absolute waste of time sending your child to this place the worst school i’ve ever come across i left this school a few years ago and it was the worst time of my life they dont care about the children just when they play up throw them up to platform and let them get worse. my brothers now in this school and all he has is trouble from the teachers. don’t send your kids here!!!!

Everyone says that cardiff west is terrible but i disagree. Its the kids who ruin the school to be fair. The teachers and school itself is great. By the way food is 10/10

Very bad school to send your children to they DO NOT let you go to the toilet and I was busting to go to the toilet for an hour and I was very busting to go to the toilet they wouldn’t let me ! And I could have started my period but I never if I did they wouldn’t let me it is RIDICULOUS

I beg you please do not put your kids in this school… cause apparently it’s ok for teachers to make fun of a child with learning disabilities (my child) or when a child is getting bullied and water gets tipped all over the child head, a teacher sees this does nothing to help apart from laugh.. (my child) or when a child asks to go and get her prescribed medication from the first aider but gets told no.. (my child)
Or when your child is suffering with their health at just gets accused of wanting to stay put of lessons even tho my child have got 100% attendance! Let’s not talk about raw chicken that was served! Stay clear! Some teacher’s are lovely! But the bad one’s ruin it!! Vile school

one of the SLT member is a bloody pedophile he looks at little girls back and he’s just weird in general. Secondly they locked the toilets and there is always one downstairs which never has tissue, soap or even is clean because there is so many students who need to use it and there isn’t many stalls to use. The bathrooms upstairs and like one downstairs looks like a prison because there is these red railings (i don’t know if it’s called railings but it covers the entry)

Jesus f***ing christ this school was probably the worst experience i have ever had.For example, I legit got a detention after being late to class by 1 minute. I won't say the name of the person who gave it to me but that teacher was absolute Sh**. Also, the entire PE department was also pretty sh**. For example, I had to sit out of the entire PE class for just not wearing astroturf boots, and pretty much did nothing for the entire lesson.

I was lucky enough to join Cardiff West a couple years ago and I absolutely adore it. The teaching staff are for the most part incredible and evidently have a huge passion for what they do. I am not allowed to name anyone, bit my maths teacher, who's currently pregnant, invoked a huge passion for maths that I never previously had. I am so grateful to her. The head of the science department has done the same with biology and physics for me, he is an incredible, enthusiastic man and I am very glad he is my teacher. My head of year (who is a music teacher) had her ups and her downs, but I am glad I have her. She makes the school a safer place and I am glad she joined just before I did.

The school is disgusting, they chat a whole load of crap just to get you out of there way , I’m a parent and my son has been bullied since starting , he was hanged up on by 10 boys today and the school is saying they will look into it absolute pile of crap , the head needs firing asap cause he ain’t doing shit either !! Reception team you all needs training on ANSWERING CALLS. Staff needs training for listening to students and helping them when needed I’ve had several students telling me stuff about the school while standing in the office waiting for my son to come , my son can’t even eat at dinner time !! no one has anything good to say about this school what I’ve said should be enought to put you off for life ……

Has good teachers pick favourites doesn’t try and hide it hate a teacher there your stuck with her every class

its literally so bad here 💀 teachers don’t help students w mental health and wellbeing enough. give us tests after tests after tests its literally overworking us and they’re contradicting their own motto here. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! 😁 -j

This school is terrible with bullying
The only way you get support in that for disabilities is being naughty and once they even sent the platform (were they put the bad kid) sent they on a trip while estyn was in. This was all for to have a good appearance even though the teachers even agreed that this was to keep and a good appearance not to send them on a trip because they been good. All they care about is grades. they don't care about mental health and yes I will admit they do have a nice school but it is an absolute maze especially for maths because maths is in every different corner. Also they have fob doors for most places and yes I understand that they want to keep people in the corridors or whatever but sometimes it gets annoying when you can't go to do stuff that you need to do. They have good activities but unfortunately a lot of people that sign up because of is not good publicity to people in school. The teachers in that school are not that bad you can have some bad ones you have some good ones you'll find that anywhere. Meals are terrible if you don't get their first come first serve you might not get food at all.

nothing happens abt the bullies😭 but when we go on our phones to check the time they notice it straight away and keep it till the end of the day also. if i go to take my goggles off to itch my eye in science, BAM 15 minute detention !! pathetic lol

Shit school . Teachers must be blind from bullying and shit. But when it comes to being on you phone... the teachers magically gaim back their sight. What aload of bull -s

The school is a load of crap bullyies dont get sorted a kid broke my elbow and his punishment was only a day exclusion.
The rest of the food left over gets thrown in the bin when there is kids that cant have any lunch they should just give the rest thats left out free.
