The Ravensbourne School

where do i start.
i am a year 11 student that has priorly joined student councle to make me voice herd on 2 occasions and got in but they never cared and is in sen in this school. the SEN department in the school is okay , TAs there are fine theres no problem. but trying to get to there is the issue , your voice is never her when you are there. once you try to speak up there it gets regected and seen as you are tying to rebal.do you know about the 'cornell 7' incident in kent i belive , and all they had to do was write an essay and they did a gand r@pe. i wore a jumper into school because it is raining all day and they put me into isolation for not 1 not2 but 3 days. not to sound sad or for you to take any pitty in me but i am i highly student who feels like k1lling herself. i tried multipale times to speak up or give the hint to the school but they take 0 intrest in me. Mrs c "head of safegarding" is the worst person to try and speak to because she never cares about what any of the students are feeling and she sees putting them in suclusion is the best thing to do for us. who else? oh i know mr p "the head teacher" any and every little thing will result you in being in isolation or suspended. earings, isolation. Zip up hoodie UNDERNEATH your blazor and it is unreconisable unless you really look for the hood, straight to isolation for 3 days . i am i year11 student and my voice is never heard is this hell dump, i dont understand why they do this to the childern, you decide to work with kids while knowing well that you will never take an intrest in there mental health and put on an act.

Our DS has settled in well to the school. The school is strict but maybe this is needed. Our child has only had one supply for one lesson also so really pleased with the staffing. Our child is enjoying school and is happy to attend.

This school makes it seem like they care about you and they care about your mental health but it’s all just bullshit. the learning is perfect and the teachers are supportive towards your learning but apart from that, i would not really recommend Ravensbourne for your child. Teacher’s never let you explain, they always make you feel like you are the reason for your actions, and I get that sometimes we aren’t all perfect and we do the wrong things, so there is discipline set for that and that’s completely fine. They never listen to the student’s side of the story and they get mad at them for reacting. None of them actually care about you, they pick on the students, especially the ones with short tempers and keep on picking on them until they just break. Maybe have some self-respect and realise your destroying students mental health and maybe the school will get better.

detention for being late is 1 hour, even if late by 2 minutes.

It has become more of a detention centre. Going downhill very fast. It seems to be taking away students civil rights

Probably the worst school ever

Probably the most misunderstood school in the borough , supportive talented teachers , new robust behaviour policies in place and a fantastic dedicated head.
Passionate teachers and pastoral care is incredible.
Reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is they need to make sure they are supporting the children that sit in the middle a little bit more.Not just supporting those high and really low.
If bullying occurs it is dealt with very quickly.
Also would like to see more clubs for girls but will feed this back to the school and I’m sure they will be keen to add more.
Overall a very well rounded school.

I was so impressed with The Ravensbourne School's welcoming approach from the moment we visited. The staff are approachable and knowledgeable, and the facilities are impressive. The Ravensbourne School has been an incredible experience for my child. The facilities are amazing, and the teachers are passionate and supportive. I love how the school focuses on the whole child, developing not just academic excellence but also character and leadership skills. We feel like we've found a true home here!

Very very very very bad

While my child had a positive experience at The Ravensbourne School, I feel that the school could do more to engage parents in the learning process. The facilities are excellent, and the teachers are dedicated. However, I sometimes found it challenging to get in touch with the right person when I had a query. Overall, a good school, but areas for improvement.
