"This is an outrageous Hight school"
This high school is an absolute nightmare. The education is a joke—completely outdated, poorly organized, and not at all useful. The teachers seem unqualified, uninterested, and many are outright rude. They clearly don’t care about the students or their futures. The facilities are falling apart, and basic resources like textbooks are outdated or missing. The administration is a complete mess, with zero communication or support for students. There’s no focus on student growth or learning, just endless bureaucracy and indifference. If you value education and a decent high school experience, stay as far away from this place as possible!

"What BCHS is really like "
I would never send my child to this school. From what I have heard from my experiences, other parents and children who have/ attended this school. Bullying is not taken seriously. Safeguarding in the school is quite poor. Mental health support is also poor in the school and children are not taken seriously. Quite a few unsupportive teachers I have heard about. Children are not all treated equally! In that school, it seems as though it is one rule for one person, but it is okay if a certain child does something but another child will be told off for doing the same thing. A LOT OF CHANGES TO BE MADE TO THIS SCHOOL. And that's just a little overview/ review. Shocked with the recent Ofsted review/ inspection. Teachers and the school would have changed just while being inspected. Personally, Ofsted should also give questionnaires to all staff, students, parents and even past students experiences and anonymously, to collect all their views, so others can actually get a better understanding of what this school actually brushes under the carpet. This school is not as good as they make it out to be!

"Outstanding School Experience"
We have been thoroughly impressed with Blackburn Central High School. The staff are caring and supportive, and the facilities are second to none. Our daughter has thrived in this environment and we feel her values and ethos are in line with our own.

"A School That Truly Cares"
As parents, we were initially concerned about our daughter's transition to high school, but the staff at Blackburn Central have been incredible. They have gone above and beyond to support her, and we've seen a huge improvement in her confidence and academic performance.

"Mixed Experience"
We had a mixed experience with our son at Blackburn Central. On the one hand, the facilities are excellent and the staff are enthusiastic about their subjects. However, we felt that the school could improve communication with parents and provide more support for children who struggle with certain subjects.
