"Somebody needs to take action to stop what is happening at this school"

I would like to give this no stars. Unless your child is a star pupil do not bother with this school. The mental damage this school is doing to children needs to be brought to public attention and they need held accountable. Someone needs to do something about this before a child takes their life over the mental torture from the draconian rules brought in by the new head

"oh my god"

the school system is ruining my mental health. our head of trust doesnt believe that neurodivergence and bad mental health is real, and he is trying to take away the SEND department. we have specific rooms for SEND children to attend when theyre struggling to go into lessons, and this man is trying to take them away. he is creating a vile school environment, making us feel unsafe and unheard in our own school. it negatively impacts our attitude towards learning, forcing children with sensory issues to wear insanely uncomfortable uniform and giving no leeway whatsoever. i have been suspended twice for not wearing my blazer despite the fact that i find it insanely uncomfortable.

the school cannot keep teachers, i have had 14 different science teachers in the whole of the time ive been in year ten, with only two of them being qualified science teachers. i wasnt given the right accommodations to begin with for my mock exams, leading me to have a poor score on my first exam and having to sit one during a lesson full of distractions. many of my mocks were low scores, not because im thick, but because the school has ruined me. i didnt go to most lessons in year 9 because i was being perpetually bullied and the school didnt do anything. i havent gone to some lessons this year because i havent had the right teachers and my teachers have been all over the place. they then tried to move me down a maths set, despite the fact im smart enough to be in set one (im currently in set 3). this wasnt just wootton but the school system in general has ruined my mental health and no one has had any consideration. i enjoy learning, im smart, but wootton specifically has killed my passion to learn.

"Avoid at all costs"

Absolutely awful school. More of a prison camp than education setting. Headteacher is very unsupportive and will lie to never be proved wrong. Even if your child is well behaved they will come away emotionally damaged

"Not a caring environment for learning"

Terrible experience, teachers bullying kids, treating them like they are an inconvenience, if your child has any learning difficulties or special needs, even after proof from professionals expect to have to keep reminding them.
If you are a perfect student not needing any additional help you might be ok?

"Avoid!"

Absolutely ludicrous school. Completely disproportionate corrections for minor things. Ms Lynes is awful and many other teachers follow suit. All the good / fair teachers seem to be off sick a lot of the time (I wonder why!). Way too many substitute teachers. Absolutely can’t wait for my child to leave

"WORST SCHOOL IN BEDFORDSHIRE EVEN LUTON SCHOOLS ARE BETTER"

If you value your child's education, mental health or if your child has any SEND needs then I'd avoid this school massively
My daughters soul was destroyed here, 2 years in a separate room no work given ehcp refused only under ground they built a fake file along side a file to kick her out. She was assaulted by a teacher and a pupil that recorded it as evidence was also permanently excluded. Held a governors meeting well let's just say Dave Rhodes I really would live to know how u sat head of that meeting when the website has said you had in deed stepped down 6 months prior to our meeting and after 4 hours of being shouted at by him told I was not aloud to speak every time I tried I left and the best thing I did. My daughter took 4 months to feel well enough to go into a new SEND school. EHCP was granted within 3 months of finally leaving.

"Do not recommend"

Terrible school
Only handful of teachers that are pleasant if that. Certain teacher very vocal with her nasty opinions to children when they are not needed but school dismiss this and allow it.
Never get replies to complaints or issues
Children always in trouble for silly reasons and in afterschool everyday or lrc all day.

"do not recommend"

I am a student who goes here, and it is fairly poor. we get a new science teacher every few weeks, most of them can't teach or even speak English. teachers leave or can't control the classroom in general.

ever since the new head of trust came, it's gotten even worse in my opinion. the rules are misogynistic. all of them are about the girls and how short the skirts are or makeup, whereas males are allowed to show off their behind without getting told off. the first day of school for year 9s, most of them were sent into isolation for the smallest of things, like wearing white socks.

if you get an ATL1, you're put in LRC all day the next day with an after school. they want you to be in lesson, but refuse to deal with it or try cooperate. there are no exceptions to certain things, like their non-negotiobales, but they can adjust them all they want.

the SEN department is miserable, too. all the TAs are quite nice, so is the SENCO, but they never adjust or try to get the school policy to adjust for us. their SEN policies on their website are all lies, as they do not follow any of it whatsoever. in the SEN room, some people are allowed to sit in there all day just because their parents kicked off, but others aren't and are forced to go to lessons, even if visibly anxious.

the lack of care for bullying here is crazy, too. all they do is just give a couple of warnings at first before calling the parents. but even then, most of the time, the parents aren't that bothered. the pastoral team isn't even a pastoral team anymore. pastoral is never open and you're never allowed in there, as there's no teacher ever in there.

it's rare to find a teacher here who genuinely cares or wants to help you actually learn. the school getting stricter isn't helping with this, it just makes it worse. students are getting worse and even more fed up with the school.

please for your sake and your child's, do not send them here.

"a school for the nerds pretending to be one for the gays "

having a new pedo for every school year doesn’t give the best reputation to the school, especially if it’s broadcasted all over facebook for the entire student population to see. is a performing arts based school really but they haven’t put any funding into those areas for years and instead focus of stem, which is t a bad thing you just shouldn’t advertise as a PA school if you’re then not going to fund it.
too many students on drugs or drinking and a scary amount of knife threats. i saw a kid bleeding after being attacked in his way home by some students there.
and please plsplspls teach the kids about harassment and assault and actually do something when a student reports it. it’s detrimental to a growing persons wellbeing and let’s t*ats get away with it for years
and stop the homophobia there
