"Review for Mark Rutherford"

This school was absolutely abysmal it still teachers do nothing about racism to students practically nothing and teachers bullying students and it really affects some students. Also the favoritism on some students is outrageous its just white kids who get favorited no black or mix-raced people just one race.

"Mark Rutherford school "

New assistant head is hard to understand and wrote one thing on the behaviour policy but says another thing. Recently gave us a new behaviour policy that all teachers have a different take on

"Outstanding School and Lovely Staff"

We moved to Bedford last year and were a bit worried about choosing the right school for our child. Mark Rutherford has exceeded our expectations in every way. The facilities are excellent and the staff are always approachable and supportive. My daughter is thriving and really enjoys the extracurricular programs on offer.

"Excellent Education and Values"

My son attended Mark Rutherford from Year 7 to Year 11 and had a fantastic experience. The school's commitment to its values of respect, responsibility, and resilience really shone through in the way the students were supported and encouraged to achieve their best. The teaching staff were always available to offer guidance and support, and the school's focus on academic rigor helped my son to secure a place at his first-choice university.

"Disappointing Experience with Communication"

We've been a bit disappointed with the communication from the school, particularly with regards to our child's progress and any issues that have arisen. However, we have been impressed with the facilities and the extracurricular programs on offer. My son has really enjoyed the Year 9 rewards trip and the school's focus on personal development.

"WHERE TF IS MY MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT?!"

Does not take mental health seriously. Those words should be enough.

"it’s okay"

mixed opinions.
currently they’re handling the pandemic quite well but lack sympathy. care more about correct pe kit than depressed teenagers. they lack understanding of how hard it is to complete deadlines and set too much work to complete and still get a decent nights sleep. teachers seem to be exempt from the one way systems and staying in the allocated zones, they’ll happily walk down the rows with no mask on touching students belongings. genuinely need to get some training on mental health issues and how to support people who are depressed and suicidal, which i’m sure majority of the students are.

"This is an understatement "

Mark Rutherford makes little to no effort with students, only focusing on getting good grades to show off with. They do not care about students mental health or wellbeing, of which I have suffered with fro years and they still haven’t picked up on anything. And lastly, they would care more about someone chewing gum than a depressed suicidal teenager.

Good teaching but the way teachers handle situations should be done better. The fact that not wearing a blazer can cause more punishment that racism is scary
