Wixams Academy

Bullies, bad teachers and chaos. The whole school is bad and your kids should never go to this one. Everyone in this school sucks and it’s just gonna make you go insane. You should go to others school that are nearby because I’m telling you, this isn’t a good school for your kid. Teachers have secret relationships and kids are rude towards each other, saying bad stuff. I would’ve gave this school a 0/5 stars but sadly I can’t. Please save your kids from this monstrosity of a school.

This school is horrible, i started my education in 2019 and was one of first years. Since then It has gone down hill. There are rules such as no brands anywhere not even nike socks, you must not wear religious necklaces/symbols if you do they must not be on show. You have to line up for lunch and break to get into the canteen because there is not enough room for everyone even if you are not eating. The school is way to small and even with this new extension there is not new canteen. Additionally, Bullying at this school so terrible, They say they do everything to stop it but they ignore it until it’s so bad that people go around with knife’s and they cut each others hair. Hair cutting has happened over 5 times in the last 4 years which i think is unacceptable.
This is thing that i have personally experienced and i would rather homeschool my future child rather then send them to Wixams Academy. The head teacher is also full of talk and does not back up his comments with actions.

Where do I start. Initially this school seem the perfect place to send my son however the lack of communication and the attitude of staff towards the children are appealing. There disregard concerns brought to there attention and never hold their staff accountable for the unprofessional approach when dealing with children who may have emotional challenges are are ill equips to handling appropriately. My son has been become very unhappy at this school due to the unfair treatment he has received from the staff members. He has been victimised and made to look like a problem child through their false claims of sanctions being given due to their inability to hold accountability for their failings. There was a hand over done from my sons previous school to highlight his SEMH to which the failed to put appropriate systems in place to best support my son. My son has been bullied, profiled and his self confidence has been gradually chipped away. When highlighting failings they are quick to hold you child accountable rather then take accountability. I am aware of children being moved to different classes rather than them dealing with the teachers unprofession approaches which does not resolve the true issue. I was warned about this school before sending my son here however though I would need to base the school on my own findings. Unfortunately alot of the concerns raised to me initially are now becoming clear. As everyone from Wixams Loves the idea of the Wixams Academy due to the proximity all bad reviews are done through personal inbox messages so as not to be viewed as slander and to avoid the Wixams community backlash. I would say of you wish to get the true insights of failings of the school put out a post on the wixams FB group and I'm sure your inbox will overflow with a true reflection of a lot of parents dissatisfaction.

Fantastic school. Teachers go above and beyond. My sons have gone on so many trips and visits. Facilities are a bit cramped at the mo but will be fantastic next year (building work). School always responds to concerns and communication is the best I have ever known in a school. Teaching stretches the students and they know what they are doing. Behaviour had a reset after last Ofsted and is now really good. Laptops for all have been so helpful. Highly recommended

The staff and students are a credit. Those students who need further support are well catered for. Its a kind and caring school who promote students to be their best selves................

This school is so bad. Students are bad. They asked the students to behave just before ofsted came in which they are not allowed to do. But still managed to get a bad ofsted report. Teachers are bad and can’t do there job. I changed school because of the level of stupidity and stress. Please do not send your child here. There’s plenty of better ones…
