"Exceptional School Experience"

We are so grateful to be a part of the Abingdon community. The school's commitment to pastoral care and mutual respect has had a profound impact on our son's confidence and happiness.

"Senior Leadership exceedingly weak on EDI issyes"

As an openly transgender person at this school, there is a major problem with the school leadership. The senior team refuses to take ownership of the issues present, fobbing it off to a student committee with next to no power, which are not permitted to use stonewall resources as they are too ‘on the far side of the spectrum’
I have received transphobic bullying, including death threats, and the perpetrator received a detention. Except no teacher was able to confirm it had actually been put on their record. Or the parents informed.

There are also major issues of racism and homophobia, but I do not have the energy to detail if I’m this review.

"Co-education and Academic Support"

We're excited about the school's move to co-education and appreciate the academic support our daughter receives. However, we'd like to see more emphasis on extracurricular activities.

"Ok i guess"

Its ok, does have some biased opinions which under the 406 Political indoctrination act schould not be allowed

(1)The local education authority, governing body and head teacher shall forbid—

(a)the pursuit of partisan political activities by any of those registered pupils at a maintained school who are junior pupils, and

(b)the promotion of partisan political views in the teaching of any subject in the school.

"AVOID Y9"

y9 is absolutely sh*t. Toxic people and toxic behaviour is carried out and the teachers don’t notice or care. You become so untrusting of everyone as bullying and rumour spreading become the normal; you can’t even trust your closest friends. Things get better after but it leads many down dark mental paths.
