New Century International Middle

Main difficulty: New Century International Middle School is horrible. It has been nothing but problems. My child crossed over from the New Century International Elementary School and the Principal, along with her Assistant Principals, just do whatever they want in disregard to school policy, which includes racism against non-African Americans. Most of the teachers don't follow the IEP, and when you file a complaint with the state, then they want to cover it up. The Principal believes she is a God and she lies to cover up her errors and staff problems. As a Parent, in March 2026, the Principal harassed me and told me she was exhausted by my Parent Concerns with my child's IEP, and etc. problems, prevented me from leaving closed door stop my exit. The Principal has known about the problems and refused to do anything, as the horrible teachers went back to violate school policy. I had to file over 4 State DPI Complaints which included the Principal unprofessional comments and disregards. The School refuses to give Parent's Due Process and when children are injured, hurt, and more at the school, the Principal and her administration will go against the Parent. The Principal is very "ghetto" and hood with her statements that she was "ten toes in" and that she covers for teachers when a problem is presented, then the teacher would go right back to doing what she did before to the child, like the Parents never reported the problems. At this school, many parents have witnessed the ghetto treatment in the school which includes no diversity in the school administration, which should reflect the school population and not one race. The Principal McEachern and her Assistant Principals disregards Parents, and the students are at risk. Several red flags and serious parent concerns with the Principal and the Assistant Principals for years regarding their misconduct. The school needs a change in leadership which upholds respect and integrity for all students to receive education, not one race.

What could improve: Change in Leadership. It have been serious problems in the school which include Principal violates Due Process of Parents, refuses to inform Parents when children are hurt, injured, and chemically exposed. Principal failed to inform parents about April 14, 2026 Pepper Mace exposure in the 6th Grade Classroom which burned students skin and caused lung problems where students needed medical attention. Parents didn't know what was wrong with their children. Principal harrassed me as a Parent over IEP and other problems reported in the school. In March of 2026, Principal Gemette McEachern closed the door on me and prevent me from leaving exiting the conference meeting room and yelled at me and told me I was unprofessional as a Parent. The Principal's behavior is criminal. Even back in 2023, another red flag was how the Principal slipped out of being fired after children were abused by a temp teacher/sports and the Principal failed to provide supervision over the temp teacher.
Impact on my child: Stress/anxiety. The Principal and her administration, along with the 6th grade social studies, Ms. Smith had my child and other children afraid to go to school each day, not knowing what will happen in the school and how school policy is disregarded, unless reported, but even then, the teacher would go right back to abusing students with comments, and academically.
School responsiveness: Not applicable
Inclusion support: Poorly. The Principal is only dedicated to one race. The Principal spent a budget on promoting a racial themes and racial logos in the school which divided the school. The Principal allows the "N" word to be used over the school intercom by teachers and in school. The school promotes one race. The school is bad and not diverse. The school doesn't acknowledge the other non-African American student population.
Summary: As a Parent, this school is a nightmare and very ghetto. No Diversity. Principal Gemette McEachern treat Parents like she is in the street and personally acted like she wanted to fight me as a Parent.
