I’m an attendant of Holtville Middle School. There are multiple areas for improvement that this school could benefit from hearing.
The students are the main problem. Some interest in vaping/weed at school, some take interest in sexually harassing students, some others are purposely failing and disrupt learning.
Then the teachers..oh boy. Some are good, others are horrendous. Some scream a lot, humiliation is their favorite subject, and some don’t let us learn at all and get mad when we don’t understand something. They don’t care about your mental health—unless your parents are enrolled as part of the county, and sometimes they still don’t care.
If you had to summarize this school in a nutshell, it would be like Heathers but in middle school. Expect, there’s no guns.
Also, if your child is enrolled in the special education unit at Holtville Elementary School—they will force your child to attend Mill Brook since HMS lacks a sped room.
This school in general sucks.
