"Good school"

One of the best schools in Washington. As a student I feel safe at school and I love most of the teachers. I do have some issues with some of the teachers. Aka teaching stuff that is too advanced occasionally putting kids down but it doesn't happen often.

"GIVE MORE LUNCH TIME"

This is the worst school ever teachers give c points thinking that's going to stop kids and also they only have 30 minutes for lunch which is not even enough to eat your food and go see your friends also they are charging 85p for a single drink and some of the ham in the sandwiches are raw

"Terrible"

Absolutely terrible they aren't letting there kids go to the toilets and taking away the toilet passes for people with medical issues if your bullied they don't care. They say they care about there pupils mental health but if you talk to them you can be suspended for harming yourself as it's dangerous behaviour? I don't think so. The teachers avoid the parents calls and when you leave a message they never get back to you the teachers bully the kids more than other students do threatening them with suspension and exclusion for being a few seconds late to lesson. Being told by PE staff even if you have a note to do PE you must bring your PE kit in to take part in the activities you can do and that's not the parents decision to say otherwise and telling the kids if there parents don't ike the school they can find another as many kids want to attend when 7 pupils in 3 months have left from how bad it is. It's diabolical. There teachers are never in so kids grades are dropping my daughter had 11 substitutes in one week and she has gone from a grade 5 in subjects to a grade 3

"Worst school ever"

Absolutely horrible school teachers follow you everywhere and grab you wherever they want the teachers don't care about students wellbeing and only care about the pay if a student is crying they just send them to reset which is a place where you just sit in silence and you get no one to talk to the communication between staff is horrendous aswell and the bullying is never dealt with and the school is always stuffy until Ofsted come and they deep clean the school and put pressure on the students honestly most draining place ever

"bad school"

this school is absolutely horrid. kids are mistreated and staff don’t care about most issues. many teachers are rude, misslesding and ignorant. head of years say they will help you sort any issues but most times kids are scared to tell them issues because of how they react and “resolve” the issue. this needs to get resolved. no help is given for kids who need it

"BAD SCHOOL"

this school definitely needs to improve. im not impressed. staff are horrid and not only do you only 45 minutes for break and lunch (COMBINED) which is not enough time and is illegal. there has been multiple reports of bad teachers and teachers hitting kids. bullying is a common issue in this school and they do little to help resolve it. the school properties are often outdated and damaged, they dont offer much help when it comes to attending school for mental health reasons and instead punish the students. sort it out!!!!!!!!!!!

"Don’t send your children to oxclose."

Worst School ever my child was struggling really bad to a point where she was hurting herself and screaming in the morning about not wanting to go absolute joke. No one helped they knew my child needed help and lied to my face saying they were “giving them help” even the teachers will admit this school is horrible if you love you child please don’t send them here unless they are a bully, then they will fit in fine.

"this school sucks "

this school is just terrible, if you even get bullied no one does anything about it. the school meals are atrocious and the chicken and other meat are pink. usually the victim of bullying faces harsher punishments than the true bully. don't go to this school

"Some inconsistencies in teaching quality"

We have had a mixed experience at Oxclose Community Academy. The school's facilities and programs are excellent, but we have noticed some inconsistencies in the quality of teaching. Our child has had some really engaging lessons, but others have been less effective. We are hoping that the school will address these issues.

"A great all-round school"

My child attended Oxclose Community Academy from Year 7-11 and we were really pleased with the education they received. The school's values of valuing diversity and striving for excellence are clearly demonstrated in the way the students and staff interact with each other. The extracurricular activities and programs on offer are also excellent.

"teachers are awful "

the teachers in this school are very self centred and only care about getting paid. one teacher laid a hand on a student and would not let go of him causing a scene to only blame the student that had not done anything wrong. the student then had to miss out on 2 weeks on their education because the teachers are unable to keep their hands to themselves. Another thing the teachers do is they treat you like dirt and look down on you as if they are better than you and overall do not care.

"Hit and miss at times"

Most students find one teacher they bond extremely well with. This creates a lifeline as these teachers will do their best to support you. The mental health support has improved in the past two years, having lost my trust and now regained it since the pandemic.
Since COVID-19 everything has drastically changed, year 11 students cannot eat until 1:45 and only have breaks at 11:00-11:15 and 1:45 - 2:15.
Some subjects such as creative arts and English have an extraordinary set of staff who go above and beyond, often supporting your mental health.
Some teachers could handle social distancing far better than they do as bubbles have been able to mix constantly and teachers not taking great notice to this.

"I hate it here "

Their motto is value diversity yet you're not allowed diversity, can't dye your hair nor wear it in a unique style, getting bullied? "just ignore them" nothing is done, tell the teachers how people say a trigger word on purpose? They'll go ahead and say it. The only reason I haven't left this school is because of 2 teachers and the fact no school is close enough. GOd I wish I could move.

"oxclose safety measures"

While being in oxclose academy I have had a great education, until the pandemic hit, social distancing is absolutely not being held and there is barely use of sanitizers and wipes. The yard is smaller which means bubbles are being combined, and option lessons again compromise the bubbles rule.
