Greenacres Primary School

There are not enough words to describe how wonderful this school is. The Orchard (Hub) provides a truly nurturing environment, with exceptional staff who show genuine understanding, calmness, and compassion. Since starting in November, my son has been transformed. At his previous school he was deeply unhappy, overwhelmed, and cried every day. Here, with the right support and adaptations, he is thriving both emotionally and academically. He has built lovely relationships with staff and peers, his confidence has grown enormously, and he now runs into school happily each morning. The team support his self-expression, encourage safe exploration through nature-based activities, and use effective self-regulation strategies to help him stay calm, positive, and engaged. The impact on our family has been profound. The worry of him being misunderstood, unhappy, and unable to access education has been lifted. After a very challenging SEN journey, this school truly understands how to get it right. They are an outstanding example of how Special Educational Needs support should be delivered in a mainstream setting.

We moved to Shrewsbury and were a bit worried about finding a school for our child, but Greenacres Primary has been a revelation. The curriculum is engaging, the facilities are excellent and the staff are always willing to listen to our concerns. We feel so lucky to have found such a great school for our daughter.
