About Mary Webb School and Science College

Mary Webb School and Science College is situated in a particularly beautiful location in the village of Pontesbury, just a few miles south of Shrewsbury. The school is named after Mary Webb, the novelist and poet and was designated a specialist Science College in 2003. We aim to provide an environment in which each and every student can develop and flourish and where the pursuit of excellence, in terms of personal development and academic achievement, is the aspiration of all.

"Mary Webb School - An Ideal Environment for Our Child"

We have been thoroughly impressed with Mary Webb School so far. The staff are friendly and approachable, and the facilities are excellent. Our child feels safe and supported, and we have noticed a significant improvement in their attitude towards learning.

"A Welcoming and Supportive Environment"

We have been really pleased with our experience at Mary Webb School. The staff have been incredibly supportive, and our child has thrived in their CREST award. The school's focus on science and technology is excellent, and we feel that our child is being well-prepared for the challenges of the 21st century.

"Some Strengths, Some Weaknesses"

We have mixed feelings about Mary Webb School. On the one hand, the staff are generally friendly and supportive, and the school's facilities are excellent. However, we have experienced some issues with communication and have felt that our child's needs have not always been met. We are hoping that the school will address these issues in the future.

"A Great School with a Strong Sense of Community"

My child attended Mary Webb School a few years ago, and I was consistently impressed with the values and ethos of the school. The teachers were dedicated and passionate about their subjects, and the school's emphasis on science and technology was excellent. We were very sad to leave when our child moved on to sixth form.
