About St Mary and St Andrew's Catholic Primary School, Barton Newsham

We are a very happy small school in the rural community of Barton. Our school has five classes which are led by dedicated, enthusiastic, professional teachers and supported by talented teaching assistants.

"Wonderful community and excellent teaching"

We've been at St Mary and St Andrew's for two years now and we've seen our child grow and flourish. The 'happy minds' program has been a game-changer for her, and we love how the school values kindness and respect. The facilities are great, too - the playground is always bustling with activity and the staff are so supportive. We feel like we're part of a big, happy family here.

"Excellent education and lovely staff"

My child loves coming to school every day and we've been thoroughly impressed with the quality of education and care they receive. The teachers are all so friendly and approachable, and the school's values of kindness and respect really shine through. We've also been blown away by the variety of clubs and activities on offer - our child has discovered a real passion for singing and is thriving in the choir.

"A good school with some areas for improvement"

We were at St Mary and St Andrew's for three years and while we had a generally positive experience, there were some areas where we felt the school fell short. The teaching was generally good, but we felt that some of the classes were a bit too large and that the school could do more to support children with special needs. However, we did love the sense of community and the values that the school promotes.
