"Staffs poor attendance"

I’m a Y8 currently at this school and one main thing that I can give is that the staffs attendance is one of the poorest I’ve ever seen. And the subs are only aloud to give posters and worksheets that have nothing to do with what we’re leaning.

Currently in assembly’s all the supposed “head of year” is talking about is attendance and that us pupils could all do better while the staff are taking vacations with their close family and making lousy excuses on why they were gone.

In Y7 I had a science teacher that only taught two lessons then left for the entire year due to major health problems. But instead of rehiring they gave multiple supply’s in his place. Most of them tried to do the lesson plan but it always ended horrifically and no one learnt anything. During the spring/summer term I ended up with a sub that could only provide text books that once again had nothing to do with the lesson plan. By the time final exams were coming around no one knew anything, making the whole class fail at their final test. The sub would disguise the results as: “you’ve all done a terrific job!!” And never mentioned anything else.

My conclusion is that when the staff members are gone the pupils learn nothing to the point where it feels like I’m losing knowledge rather than gaining it. Isn’t that what’s schools are for in the first place? And that they should look not just at our attendance but their own.

This is an average school for higher developed ASD kids. But if your child is neurotypical please don’t send your child here unless it is a last resort.

"absolutely horrific"

i hate it. the teachers do nothing about bullying and if you have had previous issues with someone they do not care at all. they dont consider your mental health either. children who dont learn quickly are treated like royalty but smarter kids who need to progress to actually stay smart are left to rot and just told to teach the class for the teachers. everything ive been taught there i already knew.

"bad school "

terrible school, teachers don’t care about anything apart from putting a powerpoint on. doesn’t matter if you don’t understand the work. nothing done for mental health, maybe one adult in the school who actually
helps. please dont go to this school, or send your children here! send them somewhere good because this is a horrible school.

"Awful school. No support."

The school I currently attend is appalling.

They ignore the fact that students are bullying other people. They also don’t actively care about the student’s mental health.

Nothing ever gets done over the topic of bullying at the school.

I am a victim of bullying at this school myself, i have been for the last year.

I’ve talked with the teachers about the bullying and harassment multiple times. After I’ve mentioned
these things to the teachers, the teachers claimed that the situation would be handled with by saying things like “We’ll do something about it”. As you can tell, nothing is actually ever done.

Therefore the bullying continues.

The teachers at the school let the students who are bullying others gaslight, record, and mock other students. When the students who are being bullied eventually get fed up with it, they do something about it themselves, and then end up getting punished for doing so.

They lack support and acceptance that other schools would give if there was a bullying situation going on.

Furthermore, they don’t care about mental health. There are many students like me struggling at this school, who also are just blatantly neglected of the support they desperately need. With many parents not being able to afford counselling, or therapy.

I truly want to switch schools because of how badly me and other students in my situation get treated.

It is truly disgusting to watch them let students treat other students with such disrespect, rudeness, and violent behavior.

I really hope this school can figure out what they're doing wrong, and then get their act together.

They need to put a bullying and mental health prevention system in place, to help students who have to go though this horrible situation.

School doesn't handle bullying at all, blames the victims instead of dealing with the harasser(s).
