About Hunnyhill Ormiston Academy

Hunnyhill Primary School is a Community two form entry Primary School for children aged 3 to 11. We are a school situated in the centre of the Island with surrounding forest and farmland with a view of Carisbrooke Castle. Our school motto is 'Proud to Belong'.

"WOW, what a school!"

Hunnyhill Primary School has exceeded all our expectations. The staff are supportive, caring, and genuinely interested in our child's well-being. We love the forest and farm surroundings and the view of Carisbrooke Castle from the playground is stunning. We feel so lucky to be part of this school community.

"A home away from home"

Hunnyhill's Preschool has been an absolute haven for our little one. The staff are warm, welcoming, and have a genuine passion for childcare. We love the way they encourage independence, social skills, and of course, learning. We feel so grateful to have found this gem on the Island.

"A great school with amazing staff"

We moved off the Island a few years ago, but we still keep in touch with many of the staff at Hunnyhill Primary. They were instrumental in helping our child settle in and thrive during their time at the school. We're so proud of the person they became thanks to the school's values and ethos.

"A good school, but room for improvement"

Hunnyhill Primary has its strengths, particularly the outdoor spaces and the way they incorporate community service into the curriculum. However, we've experienced some communication issues with the teachers and felt that some areas of the school could be improved. Still, we're glad our child is there and appreciate the efforts the staff make.
