About Halifax Primary School

Halifax Primary School sets high expectations for our children both in terms of their learning and their behaviour and discipline. We focus on encouraging children to work collaboratively and tailor our curriculum so it is engaging, but most of all, we choose topics pupils relate to.

"Wonderful school experience"

We've been at Halifax Primary for a few years now and have only had positive experiences. The teachers are supportive, the facilities are great, and the extracurricular activities are engaging. My child particularly enjoys the PSHE open afternoons and the opportunity to learn instruments.

"A good choice for our family"

We moved to Ipswich recently and were looking for a school that would provide a good education for our children. Halifax Primary has exceeded our expectations. The staff are friendly, the curriculum is engaging, and the trips are well-organized. My child enjoys the Ukulele group and looks forward to the monthly 'Musical Extravaganza'.

"Some positives, some areas for improvement"

We moved out of the area before our child finished at Halifax Primary, but our experience was mixed. The teachers were generally supportive, and the school had some great facilities. However, we felt that the school could have been more responsive to our child's needs, and the communication with parents could be improved. Overall, it was an okay experience, but not without its challenges.
