Kirkheaton Primary School

We've been impressed by the school's facilities, particularly the outdoor play areas and the school's commitment to sustainability. The staff are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their subjects, which has really helped my son develop a love for learning. I'm also grateful for the school's emphasis on the 'Active Citizens' values, which we're seeing reflected in his everyday behavior.

My daughter has been at Kirkheaton Primary for two years now and it's been an absolute pleasure. The staff are caring, supportive and genuinely invested in the children's well-being and education. My daughter has thrived in the school's safe and nurturing environment and I'm so grateful for the opportunities she's had through the enrichment programs, like the local community trips.

We had a generally positive experience at Kirkheaton Primary with our son, who attended from Year 1 to Year 6. The school's commitment to safeguarding and the 'Active Citizens' values was reassuring, and our son enjoyed the enrichment programs. However, we found the communication with teachers could sometimes be inconsistent, and we felt that some subjects were not thoroughly explored. Overall, it was a good school, but there's room for improvement.
