"A Home Away From Home"

I've found Gillas Lane to be an oasis in the heart of Houghton Le Spring. The warm, family feel makes my child feel safe and supported. The staff are always approachable and seem to genuinely care about each child's well-being.

"Good School, but Some Room for Improvement"

Gillas Lane is a pleasant school, and the children seem happy. However, I've found communication with the teachers to be a bit patchy at times. The school's match funding initiative is great, but I wish they'd do more to engage parents.

"Excellent School with a Big Heart"

I've been blown away by the school's commitment to its values. The school's mantra of resilience really shows in the way the children support each other. Facilities are great too, our child loves the outdoor space.
