Midgley School is a smaller than average primary school set in the hilltop village of Midgley. We pride ourselves on knowing all of our pupils and families very well. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum that meets the needs and abilities of all of our pupils.

"Excellent school experience"

We have been at Midgley School for 6 years and have had a fantastic experience. The school's values of learning, caring and growing together really shine through in the way the teachers and staff interact with the children. The facilities are also excellent, especially the outdoor play areas and the library.

"Some wonderful aspects, but room for improvement"

We have been at Midgley School for a year now and have had some highs and lows. The school's commitment to music and the arts is wonderful and my child has really thrived in these areas. However, we have had some issues with communication from the school and some of the facilities could be improved.

"A wonderful school community"

We moved to the area last year and were drawn to Midgley School by its commitment to eco-friendly practices and its Music Mark of Recognition. The school's ethos of learning, caring and growing together is infectious and we have felt so welcome as a family. The teachers and staff are dedicated and passionate about their work.

"A great school that sets children up for success"

Both of my children attended Midgley School and had a fantastic experience. The school's focus on developing individual talents and skills really helped them to flourish and they both achieved great things. We were also impressed by the school's commitment to eco-friendly practices and its community spirit.
