"Dont go here"

Rlly rlly inaccessible and horrible communication, they put reset/iso on the bottom floor but they put nurture (a place for overwhelmed and disabled people INCLUDING WHEELCHAIR AND CRUTCH USERS) on the very top floor. It's also really hard to get across certain places and the only building that has a lift is on top of a very hard to climb hill. And they make disabled students climb that hill just to do science or go to the library/resource centre. Also the food sticker that says 5 stars is a lie. Ive had moldy apples from the grab bag, beans sticking onto a cheese panini and mislabeled food. Also if you want to get something from L at break, make sure you arent lactose intolerant or pork intolerant or any other reason to not eat either of those (vegan, religious beliefs, etc) because they only sell pork, cheese, or pork and cheese (except from the fruits and drinks i dont really see anywhere) also little L is extremely moldy im suprised the school hasn't been shut down honestly

"Terrible environment"

This school has terrible communication between staff and student with minimal support for disabilities both mental and physical. It has affected young people's learning and their mental health. The school almost always has litter about, or damaged fences and equipment. School foods and meals a over-priced and rather unpleasant even for the average school meal. Incredibly disappointing. Don't send your kids to this school

"Rethink putting you child into here"

I used to go to this school even now I can say it’s terrible as I have young family that go their if your child is disabled do not put them in there I got made to sit in what they call the house instead of going into language lessons or English lessons or important lessons to sit at a computer and do primary school level work not to mention I got accused of stealing a phone I did not and forced to stay in isolation until they forced me to lie and tell them I did it my parents went made a complaint and they completely dismissed it I also got smacked with branches on the legs by students staff did nothing but talk to the students and the bullying carried on until I left . Also when Ofsted came in or visitors the teachers acted like they cared about their jobs but when it was just students half of them couldn’t be bothered sad really because there was a few good teachers but not enough

"Don’t recommend"

6th form is a disappointment, The larger chippenham community of non achievers seems to be reflected in the teaching staff. Your child ow do well if they are smart but don’t expect growth or inspiration. Lots of smart pupils but nasty run school. Regret keeping my kid here.

The school fields are lovely though, so it’s very pretty. But a bit of a facade of a nice place.

"Supportive with excellent communication with parents"

Exceptional pastoral care. The school with parents on all aspects of your child’s education, celebrating successes whilst supporting any educational or/and emotional difficulties.

"1 star"

The teacher will harm you physically and they have no care for your child's education, poor son came home with bruises from his PE teacher.

"bad staff"

i was sexually assaulted and told the school and they did made me feel like i was lying to the point i just said it didn’t happen.
this happened years ago but still affects me.
and all science teachers need to be fired non of them care about our education.
the security of the school is also extremely bad i know many people who carry knives on them.

"Academy status leads to failure "

The admin are painfully bad these days. Having had several generations of family go to the school we are quite shocked by both how arrogant and incompetent the leadership is. Children’s behavior is lacking and teachers are rude and stroppy thus making it worse. Tutors offer no interaction or guidance with their pupils. Grades don’t match achievement, showing teachers have no idea who is who in their class. Strangers entering school premises repeatedly shows significant issues with safeguarding. Pastoral care staff largely give impression they haven’t read a book in their lives. I suppose the plus side is that Sheldon is worse.

"Exceptional School and Staff"

My child is in Year 8 and we have been so impressed with Hardenhuish School. The facilities are excellent, especially the sports hall and swimming pool. The staff are supportive and encouraging, and they really seem to care about the children's well-being.

"Good school"

Mostly great teachers and there is a nice support system within the school. The facilities are all good but one problem is that the doors to the girls and boys bathrooms do not have doors on them.

"High Standards and Dedicated Staff"

My child is in Year 10 and we are really pleased with the education they are receiving at Hardenhuish School. The teachers are dedicated and work hard to ensure the children understand the material. The school's focus on enrichment activities, such as volunteering and work experience, is also excellent.

"Good Experience for Our Children"

We sent our children to Hardenhuish School from Year 7 to Year 13 and had a mostly positive experience. The school's values of 'inspired to learn' and 'supported to succeed' really resonated with us. However, we felt that the sixth form could have been better at preparing the students for university.
