"Another failed academy!"

Children with disabilities are discriminated against & failed!
No support currently for these children.
Everyone is too busy to speak to parents, day after day, week after week.

"Bully boy tactics!"

Brookfield directly discriminate against and exclude children with special needs. When raised with the school, threats are made to parents and said pupils.

"Lunch is below average despite good food"

The school is overall good- nice opportunities wide range of extra curricular activities but the form system really brings it down for me.
Everyone is in one of five houses: Froggat, Gardoms, Baslow, Birchen and Curbar. The houses are then split into forms, mixed groups of about four of each year group. There’re around 8 forms in each house I think. Form is from 11:50-12:15, just after 3rd period and before lunch. Form takes place in a randomly allocated classroom (houses are near each other). Froggat is in the bottom end of school and is the farthest from the lunch queue. Yr 8 & 7 line up twice to get inside and to get food. When we are let out at 12:15, it’s takes a minute or so to get into the 1st queue. The lines are very long by then. Houses closer to the line (Gardoms) are let out early for some reason? Even though they are practically on top of the line already. It’s quite unfair and stops me from being able to sit and eat with my friends- I often skip lunch entirely due to this.

Once again, lunch is the issue. You can only eat food bought in the lunch hall inside the lunch hall. This is despite the 11 picnic tables outside. Teachers claim it’s to stop littering and the rat problem being worse (yes we have rats, no I have not seen them). It only takes a second to see that the only litter outside is from people who eat sandwiches (bring their own food in) and not form dinners at all. This rule is stupid to say the least. If this were not the case, the lunch hall would most likely be far less busy and people could actually enjoy the rare bits of sun we get in the UK.
Also they discontinued their really good pizza subs and iced fingers on Friday. Very disappointed.

Also it’s worth the not that there are two ways to leave the building during school hours. There’s the public footpath that runs between the field and car park (we have full access to the carpark despite the moving cars) the path is between two doors only PE staff can open but I have witness someone running off down it and getting out. And there is also a way out of the schools front entrance because they don’t have a remote gate for cars so it’s left open.

"Mixed start to the school year"

My child is still settling in at Brookfield, and while they love the school's atmosphere and the staff are friendly, they're finding some of the work challenging. I'm hoping the school will be able to provide more support soon.

"Terrible school"

Well known in the area for being an awful school. I moved one child to another school who wasn’t teaching any of his targets and was repeatedly being bullied to which the school didn’t act in accordance with their no bullying policy. Since moving school my child achieved all his GCSEs, is now doing A levels and is happy and confidant. My youngest child sadly still attends Brookfield as he doesn’t want to move. He has had a recent diagnoses of ADHD. Brookfield are doing absolutely nothing to support him, he gets daily detention for what are behaviours in line with ADHD and he is in the bottom set for everything despite being incredibly intelligent.

"Excellent school with wonderful teachers"

We've been at Brookfield for three years now, and I'm so impressed with the school's values and the way they're preparing our children for the future. The facilities are also fantastic, and my child loves the Life 360 programme.

"Great school with a supportive community"

My child attended Brookfield from Year 7 to Year 11, and we had a wonderful experience. The teachers were always available to help, and the school's focus on character education really stood out.

"What a shower of cunts who run this place "

Crap school with little to no support. With the exception of 3 members of staff they are all wankers. Glad I left in 2018. Worst school in the U.K
