About The High School Leckhampton

The High School Leckhampton is an 11-16 comprehensive school which opened its doors in September 2021. The school was commissioned by Gloucestershire County Council to cater for an expansion in pupil numbers at secondary level in the south Cheltenham area. The school has been sponsored and developed by The Balcarras Trust who have been centrally involved in all aspects of the new school's development since 2018.

"Good but Room for Improvement"

My child moved to HSL in Year 7 and had a good experience overall. However, I felt that the pastoral support was not as strong as I had hoped, and there were some issues with communication between teachers and parents. The school's values and programs are excellent, though.

"Exceptional Education and Environment"

My child is thriving in Year 9 at HSL. The school's focus on inclusivity, academic excellence, and extracurricular activities has provided a well-rounded education. The campus is beautiful and the teachers are passionate about their subjects.

"Outstanding School Experience"

My child is in Year 8 and has been at HSL for 2 years now. We've seen significant progress academically and socially, which is a testament to the excellent teaching and values instilled by the school. The facilities are top-notch and the staff are supportive and approachable.
