About St Margaret Mary Catholic Primary School, Carlisle

Welcome to St Margaret Mary Catholic Primary School, a 3-11 school in the great border city of Carlisle. The school is part of the Parish of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help as well as The Mater Christi Multi Academy Trust. Established in 1938 as a means of educating the Catholic families in the area, from the outset, the school has been at the centre of the parish community.

"Excellent school with loving staff"

We've been at St Margaret Mary for 2 years now and can't speak highly enough of the school. The staff are amazing, always there to help and support. Our son loves going to school and it's clear that the values of Mater Christi Trust are deeply embedded in the school's culture.

"Wonderful school with great facilities"

We've been at St Margaret Mary for 3 years now and have been impressed with the school's facilities and the teachers' dedication. The school's values of love, living and learning are evident in everything they do. Our daughter is thriving and we're grateful for the care and support she receives.

"Mixed feelings about the school"

We used to send our children to St Margaret Mary and while we appreciated the school's values and the friendly atmosphere, we felt that the school could have done more to support our children's learning. We have since moved to a different area, but we have fond memories of our time at the school.
