"Best choice I ever made"

Choosing to study at Morton Academy was by far the best choice I’ve ever made. First, all the teachers are a credit and in the 5 years of attending I don’t think I ever had a teacher who I didn’t feel comfortable with or couldn’t work well with. Lessons are consistent, well-taught and there are plenty of opportunities to learn from mistakes and improve. The school has a true family feel - people get on with each other and overall people do care for each other meaning it’s easy to make friends. Pastoral care is also excellent and all members of staff were really listening. Commitment is an understatement and they just strike the balance right between pushing you to do your best but not too far. Facilities are also very good, far better than any other local school and behaviour was excellent. I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for a good quality, local secondary school which is casual and caring.

"Shite school"

DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE. The school allows bullying, homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexism etc. Yet they have anti bullying posters all over the walls. Students have reported homophobia, racism and bullying and the school has done nothing about it. If a student is a typically good student they will not get in trouble at all whether it's for drinking at school or bullying other students. School is constantly telling you to express yourself yet complain if you're hair is dyed natural colours, if you're wearing jewellery or have any piercings. You get sent out of lesson for the stupidest reasons. If you have a medical condition and have to take days off, they will hound you about your attendance. They don't care at all about mental health even if you come to them about it they will send you away.

"worst school ever"

do not send your kids here. they will end up depressed. all the teachers care about is the length of your skirt (a female member if staff once grabbed me and pulled it down and i felt very uncomfortable), if your wearing earrings and if your wearring your own primark hoodie for pe because you dont want to freeze or pay for the morbidly overpriced morton tops that offer no warmth. none of my teachers wore masks or face sheilds in the lessons they would wear them for 5 mins and then get sick of them and take them off, they also never enforced it on the students, around 75% of my class were not wearing them properly and nobody corrected them. there are far too many exams and students are overwhelmed and exhausted and there is no good support for them. it also starts far too early teenagers need sleep since their brains are rewiring. the school is a mess and theres litter everywhere and the toilets smell. i was on my period once and i wasn’t allowed to go to the toilet before lesson and there was a female member of staff guarding the toilets so no one could go in!!! i hate this school do not send your kids here please!!!
