"Not fit for purpose"
I have just had to pick my granddaughter up from college after she came on her period during her mock exam and has been unable to go to the toilet because she doesn't have a "toilet pass". My granddaughter has been really struggling with her mental wellbeing for at least the last year and has had to have lots of time off school due to this and other ongoing medical problems, unfortunately despite claiming to be invested in children's wellbeing as a family we have found this to be anything but the truth, this young girl has been let down by this school over and over again. Today has just been another of those days, already in a hightened state of anxiety due to the mock exams and then to come on her period just like half of the population of the school but unable to be allowed to go to the toilet is utterly barbaric. Why should a young vulnerable young woman have to suffer the embarrassment of having to explain to a male teacher why she wants to go to the toilet infront of a classroom full of students. Surely someone with a modicum of intelligence can work out a system whereby a young woman can simply get up and go to the toilet for what is a very personal matter without embarrassment. I cannot wait for her to leave this school and would never recommend it to anyone

"Where's your cameras"
This school has bulling at the worst level possible... I.e
Objects such as food items and stationary, plus much more being thrown at students by other students, whilst simply trying to eat there lunch.
This school has students bringing weapons into school.... I.e at the start of the school year in 2024 a female student felt the need to arm herself with a kitchen knife, and bring that knife into school with her, due to suffering many years of traumatic bulling and constantly being let down by the teachers that were all awear of the this happening.
Students being physically attacked both on the premises and off the premises... I.e
One student with special needs at the start of the school year in 2025 had her braided hair ripped from her scalp.
And these are just a few of the many incidents that this college/school has allowed to happen again and again. I really hope the support and the disapline systems have improved for these students and for future students too.

"Beware of this school, please read before enrolling your child"
My grand daughter attended this school for 6 months, she was bullied from day one and the teachers and staff did nothing to help.
Her personnel details was put up on screen for the whole class to see, including name address, telephone number etc.
A boy in her class touched her inappropriately and harassed her, (blowing kisses asking her out) in front of the teacher and class. The head of year assured us a full investigation would be carried out, my grand daughter wasn't questioned, the outcome was the boy was not allowed to sit next to her in class, no other action was taken.
19 boys approached my grand daughter in the school hall at lunch time harassing her, a member of staff seen what was happening but stood there laughing, even though my grand daughter was crying.
No action was taken even though assurances were made to investigate it.
A maths teacher called my grand daughter stupid and told her to get lost, when she asked for advice, on complaining no action was taken. Apparently this is a normal reaction from this teacher to pupils.
My grand daughter was approached by pupils on a daily basis being targeted for harassment no action has been recorded although all complaints should be investigated and logged for follow up. The school has failed on every course of action.
We have now had to remove her from the school for her own safety as the school has failed to safeguard her.
Please note if you have a vulnerable child this school will not protect them, they have measures in place but do not use them, "brushing any issues under the carpet" hoping they will go away in time

"Absolutely horrific."
I am leaving this school soon, and I can comfortably say that this place is an absolute hell hole.
Every person that gets treated nicely are the pretty ones, or the more sporty ones, and the teachers RARELY ever interact with other people.
News is poorly spread around.
Bullying is never properly dealt with - if you have a child who gets bullied and they tell a teacher, chances are they won’t take the child very seriously and give the person a “stern warning” (which never helps).
Overall this school is terrible. So many of the teachers are incredibly strict too, so it makes the experience incredibly worse.
If you are planning on enrolling your child here, don’t. Majority of the teachers in this school hate year 7s.

"do not send your child to this school."
i am absolutely appalled by the school not giving enough support for these poor students, my son has come home absolutely hysterical!, he has told me that on his first day of high school at unity college he has been criticised by the staff, bullied by multiple students, and being treat different to the other students in his classes, it has come to my attention that he has been specifically bullied for his looks due to his disability, i’ve been told he has gone into his lessons crying and the staff hasn’t even bothered to do anything about this or even ask if he’s okay, an older brother who also attended this school had the same issues throughout all of his school years and the staff did completely nothing about this. i am absolutely vexed by the fact that the staff haven’t even bothered to give him the extra support that he needs although i specifically told them due to his disability he needs extra support to earn the education he needs. i would not recommend sending your child here and i would definitely consider sending them to a different school so they can actually get the education and support they need. absolutely disgusted!.

"Worst school ever"
Terrible school especially since new headteacher has arrived. She's ex-military and seems to think she's still in it with the way she's changed everything already. Head doesn't treat them as individuals, they are her puppets.
My child used to love school but now they are terrified of going in.

"Horrible school"
The school does not care if a child is being bullied even when parents constantly go in or ring about it and they think its acceptable for kids to tell other kids to kill themselves and then hand the child that had this said to self halm pappers. Its a discrace of a school would not send any child here if you want them to stay sain not broken.

"Great Experience So Far!"
My child has been at Unity College for a year now and I've been pleased with the experience. The teachers are supportive and the facilities are modern and well-maintained. I've noticed improvements in my child's academic performance and confidence since starting here.

"Mixed Feelings"
I've had mixed feelings about Unity College since my child started. On the one hand, the facilities are great and the teachers are passionate about their subjects. On the other hand, I've experienced some communication issues with the school and felt that my child's needs weren't always met.

"Excellent Facilities and Staff!"
I've been impressed with the facilities and staff at Unity College since my child started. The school's values of Unity, Passion and Respect are evident in the way the students and teachers interact with each other. I've seen my child grow and thrive in a safe and supportive environment.

Absolutely terrible. The kids got bullied my multiple teachers and kids and the school didn’t do anything about it. They cover it up and they do not care about the pupils that attend what so ever. Never apply to this school.

"Decent school "
Agree with review below. School handled pandemic awfuly and staff dont care if you stand outside in the cold because they're nice and warm inside. Constantly told to put masks on. People dont need to be reminded a million times a day to put masks on. A lot of teachers do care about your success but some constantly lower your self confidence. I do like this school and recommend it but knocked two stars off due to bad handling of covid pandemic
