HORRIBLE school, my dear son goes here, my dear dear son, his teacher gooned on him, calling him “the sigma boy” I WENT TO THE SCHOOL, FOR PARENTS EVENING, and the teachers were saying “happy skibidi toilet day” and the kids were saying “brainrot master!!” , They were also saying “sigma sigma boy sigma boy sigma boy” at all the boys, weirdly enough, until i went to the bathroom, and saw two children opposite genders enter a cubicle together but i left quickly enough, who knows what happened!! I am appalled by this behaviour.

Where to start. Bully teachers on a power trip, broken promises time and time again with regards to the wellbeing of my Son, lack of communication when promised, zero empathy for those with additional needs.

The school wants pupils to arrive positively in the right frame if mind to learn when teachers clearly don't turn up positively wanting to teach.

Inconsistent I there approach to punishments. What's given to one isn't given to another.

Teachers won't accept responsibility for their actions, and will always place the blame with the pupil even when a firm argument and there are witnesses.

Always focus on negatives and never the positives.

Reception staff require a personality transplant.

This school is a prime example of what is wrong with our education system!!

My son has been placed in isolation only for them to order us to remove him from Rastrick to Brooksbank, at the time my partner was attending Sheffield Hospital as our daughteer has given birth at 24 weeks and even expected her to come from the hospital, totally uncaring, unreasonable. What an absolute shower, they could not even give us the complaints procedure, until we looked on ofsted website we were not even aware of an exclusion appeals procedure. Boy i wish i could give them a zero. AVOID THIS SCHOOL AT ALL COSTS

if i could give it no stars i would. it’s so unbelievably bad but ofsted doesn’t realise how badly children are treat as they don’t speak to the pupils. go into isolation and ask them kids that they hide away how they feel about their school

Worst school got bullied for three years never ending with teachers knowing had to move schools just to get away from it

First of all this claims to be a MUSIC school yet it has zero regard to actually care for it. They cheap out on everything including their staff and it shows. I am a clarinet player and as soon as I joined the school they immediately put me in the school band without an option which I didn't have a problem with but the band teacher was EVIL and she drive me to depression at one instance she once told us to "jump off" and that was just a huge over reaction for us not being able to play the pieces. We reporte this incident and all the school did was tell us that they would talk to the evil teacher but nothing ever happened. Another problem is the clarinet/ piano/ saxophone miss o'donoghue. This woman is a shrivily snakey wrinkled cakey bitch who has no respect for her students and focuses purely on negative things. I once got yelled at for giggling in a funny situation because my laugh was annoying and bringing a "negative energy" to the room. She has turned my passion for music into a daily dread and constant anxiety. I am not the only student who hates her guts however I'm the only one who I not scared of the witch and will actually say something. One time she was so mean to me that I started crying and hyperventilating and she told me to stand in a corner facing the wall and shut up. The main year team know about this incident and did nothing. I'm SICK of this school and they treat their students.

This school is horrible !! They spoke to my friends and me like we were abt to kill some1 like its not right

its horrible, they tell you off for everything you do and they shout for no reason, your not allowed to talk or laugh, you cant have your shirt untucked and you cant
wear earrings, i would not recommend this school at all…..

Good school but the food is trash, most of the good school food has either been taken off to make better dietary choices , however the difference it makes is not impactful and we would be better off being served good food instead of rubbish, also security inside the school poor students can get away with some things in the bathrooms.

I got harassed by the headteacher and he touched my stomach when telling me to tuck my shirt in. Was obviously and accident but felt weird.
I also got flashed by my English teacher when she was wearing a shorter skirt
They also pick and choose who to enforce the rules on.

awful school do not send your kids here. was completely disregarded here as a person and not helped with gender identity issues. i was told it was just a phase and that it would go away soon (it didnt). I also once told one of the welfare staff that i wish i was never born and they told me that it was to do with hormones???? okay i genuinely wanted to die but yk oh well. i spent a lot of time here trying to get the welfare teachers on my side because none of them believed that there was a possibility i was autistic and had adhd ( i have both, diagnosed in October). there were times where i was incredibly overstimulated and not in a fit state to go in lesson and concentrate so guess what!!!! they forced me into lessons and threatened me with detention. i did actually get a detention once for 'truancy' eventhough i was having a time out. seems like the only people who cared about me was the year 11 team shout out to miss mallet love u and miss u xoxo

Rastrick hahaha I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANYONE my daughter started going there for the first year and she has already changed school teachers did not react I was often at school and no reaction students recorded her we made fun of her and little did the tutor turn out to be.... No teacher I don't wish this to happen to his child what happens to these children in this school and I feel sorry for those children what a terror they are going through in this school.

Rastrick highschool is Among one of the worst high schools in Yorkshire, teachers for some reason like to bully students essentially and rather favour the popular students and make them feel like the centre of attention, students with mental health issues are seen as quiet people who aren’t productive and punished for not answering questions and were failed on their subjects after covid and during it, the punishment system was new when I joined but was already outdated within the first year as teachers would put you straight to the bottom because students had already painted a target on their back, teacher student relations in the classroom were awful as once a student had done something bad they would instantly hate them, there was no support for students with learning disabilities like dis calculus and dyslexia, and students with other disabilities were bullied and teased to make them mad and outburst, the library was unavailable to any students who weren’t in year 7 and students were only allowed a certain amount of food otherwise the other years wouldn’t have enough, maybe plan better in the future. Seems to be a vaping epidemic as students from rastrick like to buy from shops in town whilst still wearing uniform, also apparently a teacher was fired for putting a child in a bin and apparently would touch girls inappropriately and teachers would only listen to complaints and not actually act on them, like who is this school hiring. Are they doing background checks or actually doing anything against sexual assault allegations instead of ignoring them, my time there was fun because I didn’t give a sh1t about what I did and I was removed and given behaviour points which didn’t help as I didn’t learn anything from it. I had my fun there but looking at it now it doesn’t seem like the “best years of your life”.

I went to this school around 3 years ago. It is awful there, I got no help with learning difficulties and mental health problems I got in problems with some head of years when I was off due to therapy. This highschool is awful and some of the worst years I have ever been through because of teachers and other students. Some of my teachers were nice but they very obviously had favourites.

Went to the school 3 years ago now and heard many bad things after that time, and also teachers being treated badly by students, they don’t deserve it at all, my teachers were lovely, kids in that school are just losers, also half of them vape I’ve seen students going into shops in town in uniform and leaving with vapes so you should probably do something about that. And also get new hairstyles, like perms and buzzcuts are overrated, the students are awful, teachers good.

Discusting school allow sexual assult and male teachers to sexualise female students pointing out bras skirts and even grabbing bra straps. I will not be sending my daughter

Unsociable environment with ridiculous rule enforcement and not enough achievement praise

I was assaulted more then ten times by this boy, my mom would call the school constantly about this. He never faces any kind of punishment. But when I called him fat they acted like I committed some war crime.

This school doesn’t support struggling students the teachers are below avenge. Had one form teacher that wouldn’t stop talking about politics and was obviously sexist towards boys. And probably a bit racist considering she only picked on the same two black kids and sometimes this one white boy.

This school claims to care about mental health that’s an obvious lie, I’ve struggle with depression and social anxiety since I came to this school. They only have gotten worser.

rastrick high school is the biggest let down. it’s baisically a grade farm . i was never supported . came to the school with great grades and left in year 10 with my predicted grades being below a grade 1 . the environment promotes nasty behaviour and teachers feed in to “popular” students “being better” than people who are not so “popular” all round was a horrible experience only thing that was positive was i had a couple of great friends. i would stress to not send and person to this school. i was spat at by a teacher , grabbed aggressively multiple times and told i was never going to be anything in life . they are just a few examples of things that happend.

Where do I start ? The racism in this school is awful , black and Asian children are treat like criminals .The teachers would sexualise girls to the point they’d shout at you for seeing you’re bra through you’re shirt even if it’s white ! They do not know how to handle mental health , I was sent to isolation because I’d self harmed . I was assaulted by a teacher and bribed to not report it . They do not know how to teach or help special needs children . The school food is AWFUL ! Teachers are abusive and bullies , they allow bullying ! When I was in year 9 there was a racist attack which involved knives and they did nothing ! People would get beaten up daily and nothing happened

some teachers are good however some are absolutely diabolical
some have no clue how to teach and got stuck with the gcse classes and can’t control the class at all
teachers witness bullying and do absolutely nothing to stop the bullying happening either right in front of them or even in their classrooms

Absolute shlt hole. They don’t know how to handle kids and there is only a few teachers who are actually passionate about their jobs. The children get shouted at for the littlest things or nothing at all, while the teachers not caring about any bullying that’s happened. Not to mention the pedophile teachers. If you don’t want your child to come back with mental health issues or maybe bruises, don’t send them here.

Rastrick has great teachers but there student welfare is poor as they have no care for their students particularly in this time when health and safety should be on the forefront of everyone's mind

This is a great schoolthe teachers are amazing educated professionals but the student welfare is poor as they do not authorise a sick day if it is labelled as a cold and this is still applied even in the current circumstances of covid 19.

Absolutely awful and you should NOT go at all! You walk in alive and never come out.
