"Booooooo!"

I left haygrove in 2023 and it was a terrible experience as a quiet student who's mental health went downhill I got very little support even though it was clear I was struggling and I voiced it. This school has no care for struggling students unless they have some sort of diagnosis and really needs to improve. I left with not a sense of achievement instead I felt angry and disappointed.

"Worst school"

Shocking school , my daughter leaves this year and it can’t come soon enough, has been absolutely miserable since she began. No support given when as a parent I’ve asked for it as I’ve seen her struggling , her mental health is at an all time low on school days.
I had an argument with a teacher over the phone , he was so dismissive on anything I tried to say , small-minded and would not take into consideration any outside factors that affect my daughters mental well-being which affects her school work. In fact talked over me during the whole conversation about her well-being, in a workplace he would probably face dismissal. An absolute disgrace and I found him a bully so how my daughter feels must be worse. I would not recommend this school to anyone for it’s beyond poor consideration and care for its pupils. The head teachers are as badly put together as the shambolic building.
Shame on you Haygrove. You don’t even deserve 1 star.

Some teachers are good and help them and talk to them and teach them normally even though there’s bad students they resolve the situations quite quickly

"Haygrove school review"

They teach pretty well but some teachers are the worst, my computing teacher gives warnings for no reason and we all think one teacher is a pedo nobody trusts him

"don’t put ur child in this school"

school that doesn’t have any regards for pupils with mental health issues and only cares about its reputation of being a good school (which they are failing at) teachers are nice but only care about the imagery of the school and the on paper statistics.

"Excellent School with a Positive Environment"

My child has thrived at Haygrove School. The teachers are supportive and the facilities are excellent. I love the emphasis on being resilient, respectful and responsible - it's great to see these values being taught and lived out in the school.

"Bullying is rife at Haygrove"

I have had 3 children attend Haygrove. One of them is the easiest child in the world, and has sailed through, helped by a school that is solid as long as you're a model student. The other 2 children have had issues with bullying, which Haygrove has been consistently poor at dealing with. Haygrove prides itself as being the best school in Bridgwater, but it's rife with bullying which they're unable to get a handle on.

"Varied Experience, Room for Improvement"

We've been pleased with some aspects of Haygrove School, particularly the welcoming atmosphere and the commitment to safeguarding. However, we've experienced some inconsistencies in communication and support, which has been frustrating at times.

"Avoid at all costs"

Haygrove is just a school full of bullies, I have just finished in may 2021 and the teachers wouldn’t do anything to help children. The only thing they were focused on was trying to get the bad students good. A girl touched a boy inappropriately (I’m a girl myself and I am defending the boy in this situation) and the boy got isolation for it. The girl didn’t! They didn’t want to listen to both sides of the story. I broke down once and all they said was to go to another class to calm down. They didn’t get anybody to speak to me or nothing. I was going through a rough patch during my every day life and felt like something bad was going to happen that I was thinking of. They did nothing I got no help or anything. They never even noticed my anxiety. When it came to speaking or exams etc I would freeze and wouldn’t help me. Now it’s the worst it’s been and I don’t know how to control it.

"former student "

absolutely no regard for students mental health, it took until I was very ill for them to put me into a terrible councilloring system (she was nice tho) and then refer me to cahms. only worried about grades and will constantly remind you that your only worth is grades.

"Outstanding All-Round Experience"

My children had an outstanding experience at Haygrove School. They achieved great GCSE results and developed valuable skills and friendships. I'm so grateful for the opportunities they had to participate in outdoor education and music programs.

"DO NOT GO "

TERRIBLE! I was bullied by kids and teachers and no one did anything. I have autism and other special needs and no help was provided. They tried to get rid of me and I was locked in a cupboard. DO NOT RECOMMEND ESPECIALLY FOR KIDS WITH AUTISM.

"haygrove"

i came out with good grades however the teachers are more focused on trying to turn the bad students good and giving them sweets and treats for staying in lesson and neglecting the students who actually try hard in lessons
if you aren’t either incredibly naughty or incredibly smart you won’t get any attention off the teachers
one boy beat up another who had recently recovered from a brain tumour and wasn’t even permanently excluded!!
