"The Costello school needs better staff"
I'm writing this about the Costello school as I think this school is the worst school you could go to because when I try to get help they turn me down and made me feel bad about myself as the head of year of yr 9 always ignored me when I was only reaching out to get help and for me I struggle I have a hearing problem which the cause a lot of stress for me during school as I struggle alot they made me nearly made me do suicide so I'm warnin parents now to not send your kids there!

"new rules."
No privacy with the cameras near maisonettes, feel extremely uncomfortable.
Other years get blamed for things they haven’t done, and take the consequences.
Teachers talk to students with little to no respect and expect much respect back.

"Bad school in general"
Toilets are always full of people vaping and there is no help if you get injured. They will just ask you to write a statement and do nothing after that. Lazy as hell school in my opinion

"Help for students with mental health problems "
I have a son that goes to the school unfortunately he has slight mental health problems and I am trying my hardest to get it sorted I have asked to get some help from the school, the staff do not want to do anything about it, and when we speak to them they keep giving us false promises. We spoke to them again face to face two weeks ago they promised they will help my son one week down the line that Help has stopped they don’t want to know.

"A Truly Welcoming School Community"
My child has settled in so well at The Costello School and we've been blown away by the warm and welcoming community. The headteacher's welcome on the website really does reflect the school's ethos - my child feels valued and supported every day. The digital learning scheme has also been a revelation - my child is learning so much and is really engaged with the technology.

"Its alright"
The school is alright, honestly the pastoral team dont do much for mental health or bullying. The teachers are alright, most of them are really good but there are a few that arent very nice.

"Okay I suppose"
Okay school I guess but teachers are either really good or absolutely horrible and the school really won't do much to help with mental health or bullying. (They removed the time put cards students with certain problems got to let them take a couple minutes to calm down this year wich is already backfiring)

"Excellent Facilities and Values"
We've been so impressed with the facilities at The Costello School. The swimming pool and sports hall have been a huge hit with our child. We also appreciate how the school promotes the values of RESPECT and RESILIENCE, which are evident in the way the children interact with each other. Overall, we're really happy with the school.

"wouldn’t recommend "
experienced multiple counts of racism and the school’s teachers / headteachers did nothing to help if anything made the situation worse, schook food went down in quality and started tastinh like cardboard and the dinner ladys claimed it was because of “inflation” :/
Was promised a counsellor/ therapist during school hours yet never saw them my whole time at costello why? because they never even existed. If you love your kids dont send them here, sounds harsh but its the truth :(

"Room for Improvement"
We were pleased to see that The Costello School has a good Ofsted report, but unfortunately, our experience was mixed. Our child enjoyed the co-curricular activities, particularly the Duke of Edinburgh award, but we felt that the school could have been more supportive with the transition to Year 11. Overall, a decent school, but not exceptional.
