"Unsafe. Please don’t send your child here"

Woodlands school is unsafe and commonly lies to parents. Year 10s and year 11s at this school participated in 8 fights between 3 days. The school stated this was just an “isolated incident” there is video recordings of the fight that says different. The way they handle lunch queues is disgraceful. People who push in aren’t punished and it takes 15 minutes just to get your food when the lunch time is 40 minutes. They call lunch time 10 minutes early so 30 minutes. Teachers are rude and liars. Do Not Go Here

"Horrible staff and school "

The heads of years and head of school would rather let the year 11 students come in tired mentally and physically hurt than let them have a day off. They except the year 11 students to come in at half 8 stay till 4 sometimes 5 ( 2 extra lessons) and then go home and revise every subject every night. These kids are drained and tired this school does not care about students mental health at all!

"Former student "

Shit school they let kids come in with knifes and don’t do nothing
First 3 months of joining 5 years ago I was diagnosed with depression because of how awful the staff treat the students. I was such a happy bright kid before I joined them, they sent me through and endless hole of mental health problems for 5 years straight. I left in September and even being gone for a couple of months I’m starting to get so much better and have stopped hurting myself.
Told the school about my mental health and suicidal thoughts they put me on a ‘list’ to talk to someone, never heard anything back.
They don’t do shit about bullying, I had to stop going to school for 5 months because the bullying got so bad, told the school and they said “we can’t do anything about it”
Sadly my cousin has joined the school and she’s already going down the same path I went down, we’re working hard on getting g her out of that shit hole

"Excellent Education and Support"

As a former parent, I can confidently say that Woodlands School provided our children with an exceptional education and support. The school's focus on mental health, well-being, and character development is truly commendable. We're grateful for the opportunities our children had, and we're confident they're well-prepared for their future.

"Wonderful School, Fantastic Facilities!"

We're really impressed with the £26 million building and the amazing facilities Woodlands School has to offer. The teachers are supportive, and the values of Aspiration, Resilience, Opportunity, and Excellence are clearly embedded in the school culture. My daughter loves attending the school trips and events, and I appreciate the regular updates from the school.

"School of Clowns and tomfuckery"

Here i am, finished not too long ago, there is SO much to say ab this paper bag shit whole of a school. First of all, if you wish to have your rights violated, Woodlands is the place to be. They were considering blocking all toilets during lessons qt some point, you couldn't go to the toilets anyways without a toilet pass, after 4th lesson you were not under any circumstances allowed to fill your bottle. The bullying, discrimination, racism etc is outrageous. I've been verbally abused by teachers, racially discriminated against with my justice, I've been outed to my parents as a queer trans boy and the school is so ableist i could just call it "Ableism central" bc I'd be taken the piss out of for being undiagnosed autistic and mentally ill. The safe guarding team and judgy and condescending and I'm surprised i wasnt send to a psych ward at some point. The accommodations for disabled and sick students is beyond a joke, i have a condition that causes flair ups when im stressed, the best i got was a room move, in my college im elligable for extra time, breaks. There was also always new rules being pulled out the headteachers ass, banning headphones, jewelry, gum, phones, non uniform days, any form of fun activity days, all for the sake of grades. Not long after i left, my ex IT teacher who mysterious l disappeared was ARRESTED for "distributing" content that wasn't legal (our guess was CP) but apparently the school had no idea and did DBS checks on the guy. The deputy head has had numerous accusations towards him being a pedo, to no avail those accusatorial ppl were shut down. Virtual learning was a circus, full jesters and clowns. My grades suffered and I personally suffered (Thanks guys. I was bullied by my maths teacher for two years, to the point she had me permanently moved down to a low set and no matter how hard i tried I couldn't move back (I was a set 3-4 btw, I'm supposed to be set 2 but i was booted to set 5), she allowed a student to call me a racial slur and when i asked why she isn't doing anything she jisy replied "its only a word". Another thing, My best friend was SAd by a member of staff, and as authorial adults do, they ignore the victim. That member of staff still works in education. Heres my opinion Woodlands school and the Headteacher, Deputy too, you have ruined a good school, your work environment is the reason 40+ teachers left, you're the reason my year group was DEMONISED, you're the reason the minority of our year is mentally ill, you're the reason I'M on the verge of suicide. I hate your crap school, you BOTH can shove your school up your ass and i hope it succums to its previous fate. Thanks for fucking my school experience up.

"Mixed Experience"

While our experience with Woodlands School has been mostly positive, we've faced some challenges with communication and teacher availability. However, the school's commitment to academic excellence and extracurricular activities is impressive. My son enjoys the Mock Interviews and other programs, but we'd appreciate more regular updates from the teachers.

"Lack of discipline. "

Decent school compared to some others in the area, though a lot of teachers carried backwards and traditional views when it came to girls bodies, lgbt+ issues and racism. Also some stupid rules such as: no coats allowed outside unless they were school jumpers (this was during covid when we weren't allowed to go inside for break) The only time racism was brought up and discussed was after the blm protests in America and it was One assembly. Plus there were multiple times when students in my class would shout slurs numerously, the teacher would hear and they did absolutely nothing.
Made me and a lot of the people in the class very uncomfortable and sad.
I don't miss the school one bit for that aspect but the teaching was semi decent.

"Woodlands School- honest review"

Modern open plan building, good sports facilities.
Many extra curricular activities avaliable In some ways very regimented and unfair toward students for example at lunch times (40mins) if a student goes upstairs to complete a task they are immediately questioned by faculty to a point which they are left feeling belittled and their task dismissed. Also, since the Covid-19 pandemic students have had to use a strict one way system and stay outside for break and lunch although in the height of the pandemic this was understandable students have been informed by multiple members of faculty it will remain this way and it has throughout the entire winter. Which leads to the issue surrounding coats where students must take them off before entering the building or be subject to yelling from staff. In addition the school has decided to no longer offer a school run prom for year 11's and instead have handed the task of that as well as yearbook organization to the parents.

"So much to put"

I've been at the school for three years. I arrived just b4 the previous head left. The new head is AWFUL, he doesn't care for students or teachers, he has no respect for them, he'd rather have students come into school mentally ill than have low attendance due to his 'image', I'm about to do exams and I'm stressed beyond description, im also undiagnosed autistic and they will Not accommodate unless you have medical papers :/
