"it's fine, i guess"

- its quite inclusive and the mental health care is okay i guess
- there's a lot of pressure here and it's only slightly draining
- don't see/experience much bullying either
teachers are either really lenient or too strict
- it's getting one less star cuz they made me pay for marshmellows they didn't give me :(

"Excellent School"

My daughter has had an amazing experience at Aylesbury High School. The staff and facilities are first-class, and the values of boundless aspiration, resilient bravery, curious engagement and selfless generosity are truly inspiring. I'm so grateful to have found a school that supports my child's academic and personal growth.

"don't go here"

this school is the worst, I had to leave because they were so incredibly ableist. if you're neurodivergent absolutely stay away because every nd person i know who's been there hates it. I had my experiences constantly invalidated, there's no proper support system or time out place it's literally just a corridor.

"Interesting experience"

Some good teachers, hence why it isn't a one star review. These teachers are what really made going to school every day manageable.

I was miserable in this school, picking the school was a mistake. Unfriendly environment in which grades are prioritised over welfare. Not much relation with the neighbouring boys school, and being around that many girls leads to cliques. The mental health of many students is not great, and eating disorders are incredibly prevalent and glamorised.

"Mixed Experience"

My daughter has just started at Aylesbury High School, and while the school itself is lovely, I do feel that the transition from primary school has been a bit rocky. The staff are trying their best, but I think the school needs to work on supporting new students more effectively. That being said, I do like the school's focus on creativity and the facilities are excellent.

"Great school, mostly"

Great school, mostly. Lots of “co” curriculars and house events. A few passive aggressive teachers. Teachers tend to either care about your mental health like they say or the ones who just ignore you. It says “sports” school. Most of the teams are selective so if you are sending your kids here and they are interested in a sport, get them some prior experience before coming as there isn’t many team sports for new people. But yes we get great GCSE results and we are really inclusive. Just don’t be fooled by the sports school tag line.

"Amazing School"

During year 7, i was really unsure. I’ve got the hang of it now. The girls are so supportive and kind, you can really be yourself around them. The school allows us to express ourselves freely, and are really supportive for students struggling with mental health, family issues etc. I know everyone has their own personal opinions, but i think AHS has been one of the best decision i’ve ever made. They let students from all different backgrounds express themselves through pride parades and cultured dances etc.

"Moved here for sixth form"

Great school, there is pressure to do well but this pressure will be common in any high performing schools. Staff are friendly and approachable as well as the students. Great student leadership team made up of a cabinet and ambassadors. Would recommend. Best state school for girls sport in the country.

"Wonderful Experience"

My daughter graduated from AHS a few years ago, and I must say it's a fantastic school. The Learning for Life program really helped her develop into a confident and independent individual. The teachers are also very supportive, and the school's focus on mental health and wellbeing is truly commendable.

"Good if you're academic"

Lots of focus on academics, even to the detriment of mental health of students. A lot of pressure is put on students to do well. Lots of sporting opportunities but only if athletically able, if you're not great at sports then you can't be on any of the teams. Lessons and teaching are usually high quality. Lots of indoor and outdoor facilities, different clubs and activities.
