About Mount Pleasant Church of England Voluntary Controlled Junior School

We are a happy, safe, inclusive school where excellence is celebrated. A strong Christian ethos encourages responsible behaviour and respect for others within Friendship, Trust and Forgiveness. We will inspire a love of learning that encourages individuality, creativity and independence that extends from the school family into the wider world, enabling all to flourish.

"Good school, but could be improved"

We moved away last year, but our child had a positive experience at Mount Pleasant. The school's focus on Friendship, Trust and Forgiveness is great, and the staff were always helpful. However, we did feel that the school could do more to engage with parents and keep us informed about what's happening.

"Wonderful school with a loving atmosphere"

We've been part of the Mount Pleasant community for 3 years now and it's been an absolute joy. The Perseverance value is so inspiring and the children are encouraged to be independent and confident. My child loves the Accelerated Reader program and TT Rockstars is a great way to keep them engaged with maths.

"Exceptional teaching and a true sense of community"

As a parent, it's wonderful to see the school's Christian values in action every day. The staff are supportive and caring, and the facilities are excellent. My child's reading skills have really improved since starting at Mount Pleasant, thanks to the Accelerated Reader program.
