"Fantastic School"

My two thrived at Bohunt, both leaving at the end of Year 11 with strong GCSE results.

Our only frustration as parents was that the Sixth Form was not built in time.

The most impressive element is the wide range of opportunities and trips for students, sport (and sports tours) were a particular highlight of my children’s time at the school.

"No safety ensured or staff respect."

Disgusting, they’ve banned devices meaning less safety is ensured. Parents cannot afford to buy Nokias and another phone bill. Students cannot record for their own safety if a staff is being outrageous and the students are always the one to be blamed in that school. It disgusts me the way the staff are, they abuse their power over children and are constantly teaming up on the children. It is unfair, foul behaviour and shows the next generation no respect. Outrageous. As a student that went here, it was horrible. The staff hide certain kids from Ofsted and only put out forced good reviews. There is nothing but pure disgrace from that school, the bullying is never dealt with and if you defend yourself- you are then punished.

"DONT COME HERE"

I’m a student at the school, TL;DR: DONT COME HERE! The staff are terrible, always handing out detentions to people (not all teachers tho are bad, but most of them are). Because of there constant tests and ‘bEt’ assessments it puts us students constantly under stress. They also have WAYYY too much homework and use even stupider homework platforms. SOME teachers target students, we report them… NOTHING HAPPENS! DO NOT COME HERE. The school in the summer is constantly sweltering. They give stupid detentions but can’t be bothered to deal with real bullying, SOME of the teachers purposely make students feel bad for NO reason, and WERE just expected to ‘dEaL wItH tHaT’. (Note: if your a supply teacher DONT come here kids basically bully all supplies). If your a y6 student DONT come here, all y7 students get bullied and teachers ignore it or dont do anything! There curriculum is terrible, (we can barely remember things). The inside areas are just depressing, the changing rooms smell really BAD. The food is overpriced (£3 for crisps?!). There out door environment is plain concrete with some grassy areas (not great). Hallways are always closed off because of exams, and I heard someone got break time isolation for saying the word ‘frick’. Teachers always get involved with things that just are not there things to mess with. AND they always go against THERE OWN RULES; e.g. one way system, ethos. There ethos (enjoy, respect, achieve) they constantly break, detentions stop enjoyment, damage achievement because there ‘isolation’ stops them from developing social skills and makes them want to respect staff less, if any staff read this: detentions DONT discourage they encourage bad behaviour MENY students have told me the same. CHANGE, you talk about being modern etc, THEN find proper solutions to problems. UPDATE: you are now not allowed to bring your phone in to school, i mean WHAT?!?!

Because of these horrendous issues DO NOT come here, It might seem fine at first but beware of the staff. DONT come here.

"problems with the school"

the school is alright but the thing that needs changing is the food. don’t get me started o bc the food. rice that is half cooked, over price food and that the school will not let you buy anything if your over the daily limit. this can be a problem if a student buys something for another student they won’t be allowed to get anything for themselves. do better.

"awful"

this school is so bad they care more about how high your skirt is instead of your education also these ‘qualified’ substitute teachers are absolutely awful and half of them can’t speak barely any english.

"Not good, but could be worse."

Most of the teachers are actually really nice but the people in charge aren’t doing a great job. Bullying and harassment is barely dealt with, SEN kids aren’t helped as much as they could be, and the student leadership team confuses the hell out of me and I’ve served multiple terms on it. Would not recommend but could be worse ig.

My son started at Bohunt this year and it's been a game changer for him. The school's focus on wellbeing and mental health has really helped him settle in and feel supported. The staff are amazing and the facilities are top class.

"Excellent school!"

My daughter graduated from Bohunt last year and I couldn't be prouder of her achievements. The school's commitment to outdoor learning and personal development really helped her grow into a confident and capable young woman.

"Good school, some areas for improvement"

We've been at Bohunt for 2 years now and generally have a positive experience. The staff are friendly and the facilities are great, but sometimes the communication from the school can be a bit patchy.

"Absolutely brilliant "

I’m currently in year nine and I have enjoyed everyday at Bohunt. The teachers are lovely and always willing to help when I need it. I know that I have someone to talk to whether it be pastoral, reception, one of my teachers or a classmate.
Overall, Bohunt is a community and I love being apart of it while heartedly.
