Awful leadership of this school. No idea at all.

I've never ever felt so depressed when I joined this school I got bullied so much and picked on in year 7 and when I told teachers they got really angry with me and they hated me so much I just actually wanna off miself in this horrible place I feel so unwanted and tortured here the toilets are so nasty there was blood on the walls and dirty tampons it's horrible and everytime I go in the bathroom there's always different people crying there it's so horrible and when u vent to them they put u in isolation and they tell ur parents it's horrible I found blades in the stalls and blood on them, and there was rotten food there , the food is horrible and disgusting I remember vomiting in the toilet after eating some it was disgusting I found mold in my cake.. I ain't got any friends coz I was bullied so much and they got videos from the hub and screenshotted into them and everyone said it was me I was so close to actually ending it all it. And when I told the teacher they said they can't do anything about it coz they don't know who is it and to this day that school haunts me they have cameras outside the stalls in the bathroom which to me is really messed up to have and I got blamed on for vaping in the bathrooms and skipping lessons, I litterily had Ed for 2 years in this school because of the bully's and I didn't came in school and I was just bedrotting and they still never cared they only called socail services on me and reported me to the police for going missing once in year 7 coz I felt so unloved and bullied and they just shouted at me,, socail services are so horrible the school kept making lies about me to socail workers that I got taken away from my grandparents ill always remember for what this school done to me I don't recommend you at all to come to this school -faith x

Not a good school .There are a few teachers who genuinely care about their students and that's where the good things that I have to say end .The school doesn't care about bullying and almost always will either side with the bully or do absolutely the bare minimum ,and if you try to take matters into your own hands the you'll just get thrown in IEC without having your side of the story heard. Unless the the HOY sees the incident happen in front of them or is reported by one of their 'favourite' students ,they couldn't care less. If you care about your child then should look elsewhere.

Please I beg you DO NOT come here the school Mentally abuses children and it’s honestly horrible there is only 4 teachers who are nice the isolation teachers started shouting at me when I was crying and said and I quote “can you be a it quieter” while I was crying! Pls do not send your child here it will mentally scare them!!!The teacher while I was doing work touched my shoulder and say what are you doing after repeatedly telling ppl I don’t like being touched she never respected my boundaries aswell

this school is one of the most toxic and disgusting schools out the teachers just shout at students until they cry and then punish them when they cry DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE.

This is the shittest school I have ever been in its so dirty the school toilet stinks of fish and there's tissues everywhere and the students don't even flush the toilet after they shit and piss everywhere the school dose not give a shit about mental health and if u try explain something to teachers they will just put you in isolation the teachers are rude and disrespectful and you don't get the proper education they care about behaviour more than mental health they scream at ur face and u can't reply or say anything back or you'll be in such big trouble do not come to this school at all, they do not care about bullying aswell,, when I was in year 7 I got bullied by these 3 year 9s and whenever I tried explaining ill get told to shut up by the teachers and they didn't sort it out so I had to do stick up for myself and started arguing back and then I got in trouble but thankfully the bullying stopped and the canteen food is disgusting as heck its not cooked properly and stinks and EVEN MOLD ON SOME!!! This school is so unhygienic and teachers tell you to "shut up" and "your going to get nowhere in life" which is really messed up and out of order the head teacher is a lanky prick that Don care about mental health too and is never happy or say anything good he screams at your face and just makes u cry like all teachers this school is a nightmare and there was a whole rat family in the food tech room and it was disgusting the rats where running around the corridors the school books are old and boring the education is poor!!

Do not come bdb they ruin your whole life they don't care about bullying , mental health , or anything the canteen food is bad and overpriced you have to fake this is a good school when the school expectors come and if u don't you will get isolation or kicked out the school is a horrible place!! You get shouted everyday by the teachers for no reason the teachers are racist it's a horrible place and one time THERE WAS A RAT IN THE SCHOOL which was really disgusting they don't keep the school clean like the bathroom is full of bloody pads on the girls one and piss all over the seat and tissues on the floor everywhere there is cameras outside the stalls and it's hell in bdb please If parents are reading this I do not recommend you come to this school. Everyone pushes and shoves eatcbother on the floor in the canteen and in the halls and classrooms the teachers don't teach properly and it's disgusting honestly all of you teachers can fuck off lanky pricks

BDB is a mid school if you ask me. The teachers always expect lots of work from you and pretty much shout 24/7 about little things. The headteacher is ballistic, always shouts for no goddamn reason, I've never seen him smile or anything istg. Some teachers are actually decent but others just act like they have sticks up their arses. Some people who go here are fucking demented, istg I wanna beat the crap out of them. At least 3 teachers leave every year for another school cuz of how cruel and annoying kids can be towards them. The school food is overpriced and only some of it is good.

He flet sick and did not let my son go home had a fever and and a headache and a bit dizzy so he had to fake vomit to let him come home and today collapsed

An awful school with disgraceful teachers.

My niece has learning disabilities but, this school refused to provide the basic care and needs for a normal child, let alone a child with additional needs.

The teachers bullied her for not being able to keep up with the work, that they refused to help her with.

Teachers told her she is a bad child and wthey would not take into consideration that she has special needs.

The teachers have no understanding or education on special needs, nor did they stick to her EHCP which is a contractual agreement.

The stress this school has caused for the entire family is shocking.

This school has seriously messed up our lives and our heads and my poor niece has had a huge set back in life from attending this school.

This school also tried to stop her from receiving an education from a specialist school and tried to punish her for seeking help elsewhere.

Unfortunately all the children attending this school are suffering as a result off the poor education and bad communication between the teachers.

Stay clear from this school if you want your child to be happy and successful.

This school should be closed down before something bad happens to one off the pupils.

So bad don’t come here. They don’t care about racism or anything.Teachers are so rude

Please do not send your child here as the bullying is out of its limits.
The teachers always side with the bully and blame the victim and punish them.
Teachers always have favourites and take advantage of students.
The food is disgusting and expensive and some of the staff have very aggressive mannerisms and belittle students.

We're absolutely loving Bishop David Brown so far. The teachers are all so supportive and enthusiastic, and the school's focus on kindness and respect is really inspiring. Our daughter is really happy and thriving here, and we feel so grateful to have found this school.

The school is absolutely shit.The headteacher acts like a lanky dickhead who doesn’t give two shits abt students health.He only cares about the teachers and he screams at students and acuses them of doing things.He has threatened to permanently exclude me for doing nothing . There’s cameras in the toilets which if u ask me is messed up!!! Teachers expect students to complete so much work in barely any time. They scream at students for having coats on inside when it’s fucking freezing cos most of the heaters don’t work.The food can be kind of nice but is over priced. 1.50 for a slice of pizza that’s soggy?? Fucking nasty.Toilets aren’t even clean.

Absolutely shit I feel like offing myself every time I step foot in the building. The school loves looking amazing to government officials but in reality is depressing and acts like a prison more than a school. Students have no freedom the teachers even have to escort the students from outside to their next class and can’t even talk in the hallways INBETWEEN lessons???!!! Such a sad dull school with no personality.

We were blown away by the facilities and the staff at Bishop David Brown. Our daughter is thriving in her new school and we feel so supported as parents. The values of the school really shine through and we love the emphasis on community and kindness.

Honestly worst 5 years of my life. Headteacher is degrading. So is a majority of the teachers calling us stupid and incompetent in their classes. Girls toilets arent cleaned and we where even told in an assembly 'you must understand that we dont feel the need to clean them that often' so the sanitary bins are flooded. A small handfull of teachers are just trying to make the best of a bad situation but a majority of the time they mentally abuse use and then they lowered fundinf and couldnt the wonderful mental healthcare they previously had. Then they brought a new 'mental health' specialist who only helps year 8s and 9s for anxiety. Completely disregarding depression anger issues young carrers and the countless other issues a young child could be gping through ESPECIALLY with exam pressure. Poor handling of education and exams. Having my year miss out on great opportunities by cancelling prom (due to covid) but had also given the japanese exchange students to the year below and 2 years below, who would also have them next year, taking a wonderful memory and experience from a already mentally exhausted year. The pe teachers bully and peerpressure. They are constantly building new facilities such as the leisure centre causing chaos and disruption. Bullying is rarely delt with despite their so called 'achievements'. Canteen food is also grim and overpriced. £1.50 for a slice of greasy undercooked pizza heated in a microwave tapk about their "cuisine' caused me to bring in my own birds eye chicken for it to nearlt get confiscated as well as certain sweets foe being unhealthy when i feel heartburn just looking at the food options. Honestly a waste of my time.

My son has been at Bishop David Brown for three years now and it's been an incredible journey. The teachers are all so dedicated and passionate about their subjects, and the facilities are truly top-notch. We feel so lucky to have found this school!
